Introducing....Kirsti ♥️
I'm the club's Member Secretary. I've been volunteering for NK since it began. Actually, even before that - as I'm the one who suggested the club's name! My husband was the club's founding chairman and although he's now giving more time to other interests in his life, I'm still passionately helping to run the club.
Each week, I look forward to seeing my NK family - as that's what the whole team feels like, an extended family!
I feel very privileged to be involved with the club: life's roller coaster can present opportunities that aren't always obvious at the time.
WR is an incredible sport and NK is a great family to be around. I've met so many awesome people along the way and I'm pretty sure there's still more to meet, as the club continues to strive in providing team wheelchair sport in Norfolk.

Introducing, Tony! One of our lovely volunteers!!
After my granddaughter started to play for the Norfolk Knights, I came to watch one of their friendlies and throughly enjoyed it. I then decided that I wanted to become apart of the club and help in some way.
Now I help out with setting up, clearing up and doing whatever needs doing. It’s great to be involved with all these inspirational players. I enjoy the laughter, chat and camaraderie that each week brings whilst at training.

Introducing….Helen!!
Hi, I'm Helen, I've a very rare degenerative neurological condition which started in 2020; by 2024 I was a full-time wheelchair user. I took me a year to really get used to my "new normal", then I wanted to start making the most of my life, and find my cloud's silver lining.
Part of this process was finding some physical activity which I could take part in, and that presented a challenge. Norfolk Knights have given me that, and so much more. I'm one of the newest members; I started on Valentine's Day, and I've certainly fallen in love with wheelchair rugby! When I joined, I realised I wanted to improve my strength and cardio fitness, so I could be more competitive and make personal progress within the sport.
I've found the Knights to be a really friendly and welcoming bunch of people, with a genuine interest in trying to improve each other's skills, and develop as a team. There's a whole spectrum of (dis)abilities, and like chess, everyone has their own strategic part to play. One of the unexpected benefits for me was spending time with other disabled people. The club also has an amazing core of support from able-bodied folks who ensure the players get as much from being part of the club as possible.
I'd recommend joining the Norfolk Knights, as it provides the best physical and mental rehabilitation that I've found since becoming a wheelchair user.
