Old Foss Course Hole 4
The first par 3 on the Old Foss Course often plays longer than its yardage because any breeze, however subtle, swirls above the treetops which cannot be felt from the tee. A high ball flight will come up short and fall victim to bunkers right and left. To find the green and walk away with a par here is a good score.

Old Foss Course Hole 6

Arguably the hardest hole on the course, recently the teeing area has been widened and a row of trees down the left hand side have been removed. This provides a greater chance of getting your tee shot down the left-hand side of the fairway, therefore giving you a greater chance of going for the green with the second shot as the hole doglegs to the right. Out of bounds all the way down the right of the hole remains in the back of the mind.

With bunkers left and right of the green and a ditch that runs across the front, the best option is to club up. Don’t be disappointed with a bogey here.

West Course Hole 7

One of the wider fairways with the hole shaping from left to right

The fairway slopes from right to left, meaning the ball will be slightly above the players' feet on their approach shot. Bunkers protect to the right hand side and front left and the green slopes from right to left and front to back so the golfer should try to land the ball on the right of the green to allow the ball to roll down to the hole.
