Old Foss Course Hole 15 (346 yds)
A seemingly simple hole to navigate at first glance.
The fairway plays straight down from the tee but the complacent golfer may come unstuck.

Playing down the right hand side of the fairway will open up the green which is protected by one of the club’s signature old oak trees but a bunker is strategically placed to make the golfer think twice about whether to lay back from it or try to carry it.

Any shot that is too tight to the left hand side requires some creativity to make the green, especially as an approach to the right of the green will be collected by a bowl.

West Course Hole 8
Yellow tees 430 yards
A long par-4 requires two good shots to reach the green but a bogey is a good score on this hole.

A narrow fairway in comparison to holes that have gone before presents the golfer with a challenging tee shot and places an emphasis on accuracy.

The green slopes back towards the fairway leaving a long uphill putt to a back pin for any approach that comes up short. A bunker hugs almost the entire length of the green on the right

Our West Course is made for you if you're short on time and only want to play 9 holes (3084yards)

It’s the perfect option for a quick after-work round, a relaxed weekend knock, or a confidence-boosting loop when you’re short on time but still want that “proper golf” fix. Great greens, plenty of challenge, and you’re never far from the clubhouse after.

Visitors are always welcome - book a tee time and come and enjoy 9 at Forest Park.

Captains away day at Pontefract and District Golf Club. Pontefract hosted us superbly—the course and the weather was all we could have asked for.

This was followed by an evening at Pontefract Racecourse, which was a great way to round off the day.
