We are proud of our dance in school programmes. Being able to offer many young people the opportunity to engage in the art form for the first time. Work in schools is the foundation of grassroots arts engagement and thank you to all our school partners who continue to work in partnership with us.

The Autumn Term is online and ready to book. We've added new classes to manage the waitlist on others however some classes are already sold out - head over to the website to book your young dancer onto your preferred session and get ready for an exciting term!!
Such a gorgeous 3 days of Explorers and Dancers!

TOGETHER WE MOVE
Together We Move was a tapestry of movement, words, and shared experience. Inspired by the writing of Matthew Harper Hardcastle (Next Door But One ). Through conversations with many of our participants, Matt gathered stories, reflections, and memories, exploring what dance means to them: how it feels, what it makes possible, and the ways it has shaped their lives.
You can join this Thursday 30th, 10am - 12pm for a creative dance workshop at the studio.

🌸 MOVE & BLOOM TASTER WORKSHOP 🌸
Monday 24th August
5.30pm - 6.30pm
Ahead of the Move and Bloom sessions beginning in September there will be a taster workshop for girls aged 11 - 15yrs to come and meet the team, see our space and have a go!
All sessions are free and you do not need to have any dance experience.

We have some home ed dance mornings coming up in the summer holidays with Emma!
The classes will be on
Thursday 30th July and Thursday 27th August
10am - 12pm
For home educated young people 8 - 14yrs.
If you are interested in our Sparks sessions or have friends that would like to come and see what it's all about and what we get up to this would be great opportunity!
This is an inclusive dance session for home educated young people. Expect to move through interactive games, contemporary dance technique and creative activities. This session will bring like-minded young people together to play, make and move. The dance mornings are a chance to experience the fun and creative home educated sessions that run weekly at York Dance Space!
