📣 Young dancers 13yrs+ 📣

Could you be our next youth company member?

Due to the continued growth and high number of dancers interested in joining York Youth Dance, this is the first year we will hold auditions for the company.

We are looking for 3 - 5 new dancers who are 13yrs+ to join the existing group of 12.

In York Youth Dance you are encouraged not only to learn about movement, but also to contribute ideas, take creative risks, and develop confidence as performers and collaborators.

We create a dance company environment and value, individuality, creativity, and the ability to work positively within a group.

York Youth Dance is designed to allow dancers of different backgrounds and strengths to grow and feel meaningfully challenged. Through creative projects, and performance opportunities, dancers in the company gain experiences that go beyond a standard weekly class. They become part of a committed artistic community, sharing and performing our work all over the UK.

The audition is for a place in the company for the whole academic year (3 terms) and to take part in the exciting projects we have scheduled.

Adult Beginners Contemporary Dance
Wednesdays 7pm - 8pm

Next block begins Wednesday 3rd June - 1st July

£40 for 5 weeks or £10.50 pay as you go

Suitable for people who are complete beginners. A relaxed class starting with the fundamentals of contemporary dance, moving into learning sequence, from floor work to travelling across the room the exercises will increase in energy over the course of the class.

Adult Ballet! Classes for Beginners, Improvers and Advanced

Adult Ballet 5 week courses starting in June.

Our adult ballet classes follow a traditional structure of Barre Work progressing into centre sequences and travelling.

£40 for 5 week course or £10.50 pay as you go
