*WHAT. A. START to Feis season!!! 🎉🏆*

Huge congratulations to our superstars *ZOE & HEDI* who travelled to Omagh Feis today!

And this was only their *5th Feis EVER* - and they are *ALREADY INTO OPEN!!* 😭👏

✅ Both won the last of their *(A) grades* - Treble Jig, Hornpipe & St Patrick's Day
✅ *BOTH won their Intermediate Championships*
➡️ That means *OPEN SECTION for both girls!*

Zoe also went straight into *Open Reel & Open Slip Jig* for the first time and smashed it - *2nd in Open Reel & 5th in Open Slip Jig!*

The hard work, extra practices, breaking in those heavy shoes - it has ALL paid off. We could not be prouder!

Welcome to Open girls - you earned it! 💃🏆🥳

Nobody talks enough about THIS part of being a dance teacher…

Yes, we teach steps. We teach routines. We count ‘5, 6, 7, 8’ more times than we’d ever like to admit, and we say ‘one more time’ when we know we’re still going to do it another 10 times😂

But somewhere in between all of that, we’re helping little people grow.

We’re teaching them how to walk into a room with confidence, how to keep going when something feels impossible, how to lose without giving up and how to win without making someone else feel small.

We’re there for the tears, the nerves, the wobbles and the “I can’t do it” moments… and we get to watch those slowly turn into “I did it!”

We watch friendships form, confidence grow and children who once hid at the back start believing they deserve to be seen.

Years from now, they might not remember every step we taught them or every routine they performed, but hopefully they’ll remember that someone believed in them, encouraged them and gave them a place where they felt like they belonged.

And THAT is one of the best parts of being a dance teacher. 🤍

A very good read & Very True.

Irish Dance is so much more than learning steps - it gets children moving, challenges their minds, builds coordination and confidence, and can lead to some pretty special friendships along the way. Here’s why Irish Dance might be worth a try. Maybe your preschooler dances around the kitchen whenev...

The Weight of the Win

You can hold the trophy, wear the sash, and have the medals hanging on your wall, but none of it matters if the voice inside your head refuses to celebrate.

For so many dancers, the pursuit of perfection becomes a trap.

You train until your feet bleed, execute every step flawlessly, and stand at the top of the podium, yet, looking in the mirror, all you see are the tiny mistakes nobody else noticed.

You feel like an imposter, waiting for everyone to realize you aren't actually "good enough."

Being a champion without ever feeling like a champion is a exhausting, heavy way to live.

To dancers struggling with this: your worth is not defined by a perfect score or a first-place medal.
It is a worrying symptom when the art you love starts to steal your peace.
Be kind to yourself. You have earned your place. It's time to start believing it.
