ter Branch officially opened the Dressing rooms and Grounds. Castleisland R.F.C is a Junior Club and today enjoys a large membership with Junior 1,& 2, Teams being fielded by the Club. Like all voluntary organisations the running and maintenance of such a splendid facility has a tremendous drain on financial resources, all of which are financed from Club Membership subscriptions, sponsorship and gate receipts. Fundraising events are organised throughout the year and support from the people of Castleisland and surrounding areas is always very much appreciated so that this excellent recreational facility can continue to provide the people of Castleisland with an opportunity to produce quality players. Our new season is now upon us and we now prepare ourselves for a battle to regain our Div 2 Status. Our Junior 2 side in competing in the South Munster Junior League section A which is mostly West Munster based, this team is made up of young and old and is a great benefit to the !st teams in the steady flow of players between both. As part of our facilities in the Craggeens we have 2 full-size pitches 1 floodlit pitch and an all weather training area which is proving to be a good success. and makes the management of the grass pitches a little easier We also have a flourishing Youth Section in the cub and have been very successful in recent times and hope to continue attracting many new recruits during the season . We would like to call on all Members, Patrons & Supporters to please as always try to support as many Local Business and sponsors as you can as without their ongoing financial support we could not maintain the Pitches and facilities let alone improve them.
