We would like to wish 2 of our Jesters the very best of luck in their Leaving Certificate which as we all know is starting tomorrow! Jack O’Shea who is a hard man to keep off the rugby field (apparently he was telling Noreen he was sure he’d make rugby training tomorrow evening 🤣) and Ruarí Murphy one of our star players in Clonakilty who played incredibly well recently when we travelled to Alicante. Lads you’ll both do yourselves proud if your dedication and focus on the rugby pitch is anything to go by🤞🏼

So very proud of our Sean Downey who is totally invested in The Jesters, not only does he turn up to training every single session, every Giggle, and frequently help out in The Bakehouse but he’s also a coach with the BBRFC Mini’s alongside Linda, and NOW….. he’s been appointed Spirit Officer on the BBRFC committee… huge congratulations 🙌🏼

We had a smashing and very late night in the Maritime Hotel last night as part of the Centenary Celebrations for BBRFC and what a night it was! Topped off by tremendous music and craic from Bog The Donkey ! The Captains Couch was the most super event for all sports enthusiasts, and our own Linda McCarthy and our super supporter and some-time coach Geraldine Hicks were part of the organising team, there was a great Jester turnout to show support not only for Linda’s & Geraldine’s Trojan work but more importantly the 2 Jester ladies who were on the Couch! Fantastic interview by Kieran McCarthy and Fiona Riney and Sandra O’Donoghue did us very proud 👏 Welldone to all involved, I know there were many more behind the scenes so thank you for a splendid nights entertainment.

We’ve made some lovely friends during all our Rugby days since 2018. When we were first asked to join the Trailblazers to form a team for the first World Cup, our friendship opportunities opened up even more with this wonderful like-minded team. We have done a lot of training and travelling and just “being together” these last number of years and it’s something we treasure hugely. One of our very good friends and supporters is Mona Fehilly and today is a very special day for her, so we would all like to wish her every happiness going forward and congratulations on this her wedding day. And what a day for it, sun shining, happiness abounding and we look forward to seeing all the photos. Have a super super day Mona👰‍♀️🤵‍♂️🎉

Happy birthday to one of our long-standing and dedicated boxers. Aron Byrne we would like to wish you the happiest of birthdays today, another beautiful day of sunshine so hopefully you will get to enjoy it with your family around you to help you celebrate. We thank you so much for all your dedication over the years and long may it continue and also to your family for their support for the Jesters in so many ways. We look forward to seeing you again once Boxing commences after the summer and fingers crossed we will be running a few events over the summer months, a few outings or some get-togethers in the bake house and we will be hoping you can make it.
