Fitbug instruct top quality fitness classes from our fitness and our separate spinning studio in Junction 6, Castleknock. We are very different to a commercial gym although we operate the same classes. You will not share any equipment, you have your own social distance space and there is a 1 way system in and out to prevent any cross contamination. Our classes are:

❓️What is SUPER STRENGTH, and who is it for?

📣 To be clear... Super Strength is for all levels of fitness as we adapt YOUR program to suit YOUR current level.

💡 The idea... we do the same program every Monday & Thursday for a period of 4 weeks.

📝 During the 4 weeks... you will track your progress with the Fitbug Strength Tracker Card.

❓️ What is the Fitbug Tracker Card?
👉 We will give you a Tracker card before the class, and this has the exercises filled in. There are 4 columns where you will fill in your weights at each class.

👉 Over the 4 week block... you will try to improve your numbers, showing you an increase in your strength.

❓️ Why should everybody do this class?
👉 Strength training is important for your independence, your confidence, your metabolism, your bones, your muscles, your mind, and don't forget the sense of achievement as you see improved numbers. We will also teach you how to exercise with good technique.

❓️ Will I get BULKY?
👉 No, not a chance... Getting bulky takes so much more than a 4 week period.

❓️ Do I have to do the 4 weeks?
👉 No... you can do any amount... Simply book your place and join in!

❓️ When can I start?
👉 Anytime... we encourage you to get involved and see how we can help you to improve your technique, your mindset, and your overall fitness.

What can we do?

👉 The basics are:

1) HYDRATE - The weekends can be busy with social outings.. Many people underestimate the power of hydration.

GET some water back into your system. Your mind and your body will thank you for it!

2) Eat well again.. The weekends can be tough and it's often easier to go for a bite if junk food.. This can be down to dehydration and tiredness.

Feed yourself with good quality foods that are filled with good nutrition! Your mind and your body will thank you for it!

3) Book a class and get some sort of exercise done! You may need to back off with the intensity... That's ok...

SLUMPY? DO YOU HAVE THE DREADED SLUMP 🤷🏻‍♂️

The good news is that it can be helped and overcome!

What can you do when that level of tiredness takes over?

Well... Here's what I do when that kicks in.

👉 Look at your routine. We often run into a habit that we had no intention of creating. Both good and bad habits are created quickly, so take a look at what you are doing!

💣 DO THIS: I often keep a small notepad and write down when I'm being lazy or dragging my heels!

👉 This little notepad will soon point out where you are NOT being productive and shows you exactly where you can change a habit or use your time for a far better task...

👉 Realocate your NONE PRODUCTIVE time for PRODUCTIVITY!

When you change direction in a car, you will end up at a different location. Use this notepad to redirect your NONE productive time into PRODUCTIVITY!

🏋‍♂️ Exercise more
🚴‍♂️ Cycle more
🚶‍♀️ Walk more
💨 Get fresh air
🥗 Prepare some healthy meals for later

Here's 3 mistakes I consistently see when people want to lose weight:

1) Over complicating the situation. We do this so we can bail out if we are not willing to put the effort in or because it is harder than we thought it would be. This is a self sabotage mindset!

Over complicating will justify our decision to stop if we want to.

2) Over estimate their activity levels. People tell me that they walk 10k steps a day and that they are always on the go...

They often forget that they sit in a car, sit on a bus, sit at a desk, sit on the sofa, sit in a coffee shop...

10k steps is not enough if you are sitting for 12 hours a day. Remember, you are also sleeping for 6 - 8 hours per night.

3) So many say that they don't eat that much... perhaps not!

Having no idea of your calorie intake is a different mindset.

What's in the sandwich, roll, or wrap that you buy? You will tell me chicken, lettuce and tomatoes... you won't mention the butter, mayo or the coleslaw.

These are 3 things that I see often in a chat with a customer.

1 - 🥱 Tirdness:
You can improve your energy by choosing better quality food by drinking more water, removing processed foods, and moving more. Don't be fooled by saying I'm too tired to exercise. The benefits are far great if you move more.

2 - ⏳️ We all have more time. How is it that super successful people get more done in the same 24 hours per day? If you binge on social media, Netflix, and soaps... then this is where you need to focus to create more time.

3 - ✋️ Stop prioritising others. I understand that we have appointments, kids, and work life. Here's a hard-hitting fact... if you get sick... the appointments, kids, and work life will have to figure it out.
💥Make yourself NUMBER 1
👉Strength & confidence come from self-love ❤️

4 - 😱 Fear paralysis us... it stops us from doing many things. Facing the truth of where you are can be difficult, so find a facility that will help you to grow in confidence.

‼️ Find a facility that you enjoy attending... Facing and tackling fear brings REWARD!

Let me say this for context... I had a very bad stammer for years and years..... I now stand up in front of groups with a microphone to speak, instruct and motivate.

When we let go.. life get easier...

LETTING GO:
Did you have an ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend where the relationship got much harder? We let go, and life got easier because you know your partner should encourage you.

LETTING GO:
It was too hard to commute to different locations.. we let go of fear and learned how to drive through traffic and on motorways.

LETTING GO:
We applied for the job that we thought was out of our reach... We let go of the fear, applied, got an interview and in some cases, got the job.

Life gets better when you let go... Our comfort zone is exactly what it's called.. COMFORT ZONE.

REFLECTION:
If you want a more energetic body, you need to drop the fear and embrace what could be. To do this, you MUST put yourself first.

We had fear when we opened Fitbug... Leaving 2 paid jobs to put everything on the line. It hasn't been easy... We know outside circumstances caused a wee bit of havoc...

We don't give up... we dig deeper... and that's what you need to do if you want to move forward with a healthier body.
