What a National Schools championship for our club athletes. The hardest competition on the juvenile calendar due to the combined ages and our athletes excelled☘️
Theo Duffy started off proceedings on Friday evening claiming 🥇 in the Inter steeplechase in a blistering last 100m.
Charlie Gunawardahana won 🥉 in the senior steeplechase.
Philip Carberry threw 32.62 to claim 5th place in the Junior Boys Javelin whilst Liam McAtamney raced to 5th place in the Junior Walk
Des O'Neill started off proceedings with a win in the Senior 400mH. He raced to a championship record of 51.89 and a World u20 qualifying standard.
Freyja Carroll claimed the silver medall

A bumper day for Juvenile Shamrocks at the Leinster School Track & Field Championships today in . Three Golds , three Silvers and one Bronze marked a great return for Raheny Shamrock athletes at the always very competitive Leinster Schools Championships. The medals winners were :-
GOLD
Freya O’Carroll ( Holy Faith ) Snr Girls 800m
Conrad Latham ( St Paul’s) Snr Boys 800m
Des O’Neill ( St Fintans) Snr Boys 400mH
SILVER
Rachel Afari ( Mt Temple) Snr Girls 100m
Rachel Afari ( Mt Temple) Snr Girls 200m
Theo Duffy ( St Paul’s) Inter Boys 1,500m S/C
BRONZE
Charlie Gunawardhana (Donahies CS) Snr Boys 2,000m S/C
As a result of todays successes all of these athletes have qualified for the All Ireland Schools Championships in two weeks time at the same venue.

The Lord Mayor of Raheny 2 Mile Series starts June 2nd. The series runs for 13 weeks, and races are only €7 to enter, or €50 for the series, including the really popular Jim Wall Handicap in September.
The race series is open to runners of all abilities, and is really helpful for anyone who would like to improve their 5k time in particular.
