It was great to see such a large turnout of young athletes proudly representing the club. From the youngest competitors to the older juveniles, there was excellent effort, determination and enthusiasm on display throughout the day. Cross-country racing provides an important foundation for athletic development, and this first outing was a valuable opportunity to gain experience while enjoying the team atmosphere that makes these league events so special.
The commitment shown by athletes, coaches and parents alike made for a very positive start to the cross-country season, and we look forward to seeing the squad continue to develop over the coming weeks.
๐ A Special Thank You to Our Volunteers
A huge thank you goes to all the Rathfarnham volunteers who assisted at the Dublin Juvenile Cross Country Leagues in Donabate. These events simply could not happen without the support of volunteers who give up their time to help with course set-up, stewarding, officiating and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Volunteer support is an essential part of our sport and, as a club, our ability to participate in these competitions depends on members stepping forward to help. Your contribution allows our young athletes to race, develop and enjoy the cross-country season, and it is deeply appreciated by athletes, coaches, parents and the club as a whole.
Congratulations to everyone who raced and represented Rathfarnham so brilliantly this weekend. From podium finishes on the roads to the first outing of the season for our juvenile cross-country squad, it was a weekend that showcased the strength, depth and community spirit that makes Rathfarnham such a special club.
