We’re incredibly proud of our Senior Women’s player, Sarah Purcell who was recently featured in the Irish Independent.
Sarah shared her story of her journey with cancer, from diagnosis and treatment to making her return to the rugby pitch 🏉
Not only is she a credit to our club, but a brilliant role model for younger players 🇱🇻
‘It’s harder if people start to pity you. I didn’t want anyone to ever pity me. I just wanted them to be normal with me’
Connacht player Sarah Purcell (20) was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma a year ago. She is now in remission and playing rugby again

Huge congratulations to Dan Kelly, Cian Kiernan, and Kaylum Curran, who lined out for the Connacht U19s against Ulster in Belfast today!
After trailing 14-0 at halftime, the lads showed incredible grit and determination to fuel a massive fightback. As the second half progressed, Connacht were gaining all the momentum and clawed the score back to 24-19, but sadly just ran out of time to pull off the win!
That wraps up the Interprovincial Championship, and after months of grueling summer training, these three young men have done themselves, Creggs RFC, and Connacht incredibly proud.
