The key aims of the LSP are to increase participation in sport, and to ensure that local resources are used to best effect. Some of the outcomes we seek are:

Club development
Volunteer training
Enhanced planning of sport at local level
Local directories of sports bodies & facilities
School, club, community and national governing body (NGB) links
Increased levels of local participation, especially amongst specific target groups such as older people, girls & women, people with disabilities, unemployed people, and those who live in identified disadvantaged communities

Explore Kilkenny's Beautiful Walking Trails by Bus! 🚌🚶‍♂️🌲

We've created a new walking trails guide to help people discover some of Kilkenny's most scenic routes using the Local Link bus service.
Designed with accessibility in mind, this guide is ideal for older adults, people with additional needs, Free Travel Pass holders and anyone looking for an easy and affordable way to explore the county. It makes it simple to enjoy the outdoors, stay active and visit new places across Kilkenny.
Take the bus, enjoy a walk and experience the best of what Kilkenny has to offer. Thanks to TFI Local Link Carlow Kilkenny Wicklow for their advice when putting this together!
Local Link contact information can be found on the final page of the guide.

Every sport deserves respect.

Different sports have different rules, rituals and pressures. But one thing should never change: how we treat officials.

Whether you’re participating, coaching, supporting or watching, your behaviour matters. Respect applies to everyone, across every sport, in every environment and at every moment.

Every sport. Every person. Every time.
