Kingsriver Community was founded in 1987 and has been providing residential and day support programmes for adults and young people with varying abilities in a community setting since that date. The focus is on people’s abilities rather than their disabilities. The aim is that they are enabled to be included in society as much as possible and that they learn to participate in the world at large. Initially providing workplace training and employment possibilities through high end furniture manufacture, Kingsriver now concentrates on providing quality, person centred, opportunities in a range of areas including woodwork, arts and craft, health related exercise and living skills. Funded by the HSE, Kingsriver Community also provides a residential service for a small group of people. Programmes are developed in response to the identified needs of everybody including those attending on a daily basis from the local area and our core group of residents. Kingsriver Community is a FETAC registered centre providing accredited courses and an accredited hosting organisation in the Europen Voluntary Service (EVS) programme.

🎢🎡 Big smiles, big thrills and maybe a few screams along the way! 😂💚

Our Kingsriver crew had an absolute blast at Emerald Park! From the excitement of the rides to the laughs shared along the way, there was no shortage of fun… and we’re still not sure who enjoyed it more — the gang or the staff! 🤣🙌

Because inclusion is about more than being part of the community — it’s about having the same opportunities, experiences and adventures as everyone else. Everyone deserves the chance to make memories, try new things and enjoy life to the fullest! 💚✨

🚜🌾 JP TAKES ON THE PLOUGHING! 🌾🚜

Someone tell Jonas the Ploughing Championships are not actually a competition to see who can have the most fun… because he definitely won! 😂💚

From meeting some very unusual green friends 🦖 to checking out the sights, Jonas was absolutely loving it!

A great day, plenty of craic and memories made along the way. 🥰

10/10 would plough again! 😂🚜🌾

💅✨ Self-care day! ✨💅

Catherine and Anna enjoyed a lovely day out getting their nails done — plenty of laughs, pampering and, of course, checking their new nails approximately 47 times! 😂💅

It’s so lovely seeing our peers enjoying experiences they choose, building confidence, making memories and most importantly, having fun! ❤️

Because everyone deserves a little bit of pampering now and again! 🥰
