All of us here at Moyross Utd would like to congratulate Junior A player Adrian De Paor on being awarded Premier A Player Of The Year. Adrian collected his award tonight at the Limerick Junior Soccer Awards. Adrian has had an incredible season on his return to the club. His goals, assists and leadership have been a major factor in guiding the team to the Premier A league title and the league cup final this weekend. He sets the standards off the pitch, in training and on matchdays. This award is so richly deserved and we are all immensely proud of Adrian. Congrats again Adrian from everyone involved in the club.

Huge win for the A team this morning. Jay Ryan had us in front on 20 minutes chasing down an Adrian Power pass and getting the better of the Star keeper to slot home. We were well below par in the first half in general and Star got an equaliser their efforts deserved in stoppage time from the penalty spot. We were much much better in the second half and we pushed and pushed for the goal to retake the lead but the ball wouldnt go in. We were reduced to 10 men with 20 minutes to go but it did not deter us as we kept Star pinned back playing brilliantly. The goal didnt come and we entered the lottery of the penalty shootout.

Adrian Power and Jay Ryan were on target before Craig Collopy-Duggan was denied by the Star netminder. Star converted their first 3 to have the advantage. Next up Cian Power's found the net and Star's fourth was missed. That meant sudden death and Jack Moroney slotted his while Star's fifth was crashed against the bar to end things.

It was a resilient performance. They had much the better of the first half while we were the better team in the second including the period where we were down to 10 men. The reward is a cup final in Jackman Park next Saturday evening against either Carew Park or Caherdavin. Kick off is 6:30pm. We hope to get as much support as possible🔴⚪️🔴

Our 12's played host to near neighbours Ballynanty in a local derby this morning. Despite missing several players due to family communions they put in an excellent display to win out by a 4-1 scoreline. Our goals were scored by Thomas McNamara⚽️⚽️ Ivan Solomchak⚽️ and Ryan Williams⚽️. Well done everyone🔴⚪️🔴
