🏐 SENIOR A GROUP TWO PERMUTATIONS
A huge afternoon in Glenisk O’Connor Park, with everything still on the line.
🔥 2:00 – Clonbullogue v Bracknagh
🔥 3:45 – Clara v Durrow
The local derby between Clonbullogue and Bracknagh is effectively a preliminary quarter-final and relegation semi-final rolled into one. Both can still reach the quarter-finals, and both can still end up in the relegation final.
Clara have it in their own hands. Win and they’re through, while even a draw may be enough thanks to their superior points difference. Durrow are already bound for the relegation final but could have a huge say in who joins Ballycommon in the knockouts.
📊 QF scenarios: Ballycommon 100% | Clara 66.7%+ | Clonbullogue 11.1% | Bracknagh 11.1%+
Plenty on the line in Tullamore today 👀

🏐 SENIOR A PERMUTATIONS
It all comes down to the final two games in Group One this afternoon, with Rhode, Ferbane, Tullamore and Shamrocks all still capable of reaching the semi-finals.
There are 9 possible combinations of results across Rhode v Tullamore and Shamrocks v Ferbane. If we treat a win, draw or defeat as equally likely, the possible outcomes give:
🟢 Rhode: Semi-final in 7/9 outcomes 77.8% | QF 22.2%
🟢 Ferbane: Semi-final in 5/9 55.6% | QF 44.4%
🔵 Tullamore: Semi-final in 4/9 44.4% | QF 55.6%
☘️ Shamrocks: Semi-final in 2/9 22.2% | QF 77.8%
Those percentages are scenario percentages rather than predictions. They simply show how many of the nine W/D/L combinations put each team into each position.
For Rhode it’s straightforward: avoid defeat and they’re through. Ferbane also control their own destiny with a win, while Tullamore know victory over Rhode guarantees their place. Shamrocks have the narrowest route and must beat Ferbane, while also needing Rhode v Tullamore not to finish level.
With head-to-head, points difference and the possibility of teams finishing level all coming into play, there’s still plenty to be decided.
