Originally founded in 1904 as part of The Railway and Steampacket Athletic and Sports Union, Railway Union Hockey Club is one the oldest in Dublin based in Sandymount Dublin 4. We have 5 ladies teams and 4 mens teams as well as an active masters teams (over 35s) section (both men's and ladies) and a thriving youths section. We have enjoyed many successes in the past and continue to enjoy many successes in the present with our womens team playing at the top Irish hockey league and our mens in the senior leinster league. More important to Railway is the club ethos and culture of good sportspersonship on and off the pitch and reflects that Railway is known as Dublin’s family club for its inclusivity and tradition of playing the game in the right spirit.
