👏👏Boys Team Of The Week👏👏

Huge congratulations goes to our 16's player Jotham Kiwanaka for his great performance last Saturday while representing our club.
Jotham had a brilliant game in the center of defence, putting in big tackles and getting his teammates on the front foot. Jotham came into the St Brendan's Park U16 Division 2 team for the first time last weekend and brought with him leadership and quality. Despite a defeat on a score-line that didn't do the lads justice, Jotham continued to battle and inspire his fellow team mates until the end.

St Brendan’s Park FC 7–1 Geraldine’s AFC

A fantastic National Cup performance from our U14 A team today as they secured a convincing 7–1 victory over Geraldine’s AFC.

With six players unavailable through injury, squad depth was tested to the maximum, but every player stepped up and delivered a brilliant team performance. 💪

Great teamwork, character and determination from the lads from start to finish. A well-deserved 7–1 win and another step forward in the National Cup.

Under 16 SFAI SUBWAY National Cup First Round Result

Park FC U16 A 1-3 Bunratty Cratloe FC

Our U16 A team had a disappointing result at home today in the Cup against Bunratty Cratloe FC. The scoreline doesn’t reflect the game where we were dominant for most parts.

Bunratty got 2 goals against the run of play in the first half. The first coming on 5 minutes and the 2nd from a penalty just before half time. We had plenty of chances in the first half and were unlucky not to score.

Although 2 down going into the 2nd half, the boys kept their heads and on 45 minutes, Tom Balodis got his head to a super corner from Kian Cronin to pull one back. We were well on top and again had chances but struggled to get the equaliser. With a couple of minutes to go, Bunratty got a 3rd goal to finish off the game.

In fairness to the boys, this is a new team with new players and will take time to gel, but they played well and were unlucky with the result.

The captain today was Jonas Collins and Player of the Match was Ben O’Sullivan, who played up front in the first half and played in goals in the second half to replace Oran O’Regan, who picked up an injury.

Thanks to Bunratty Cratloe for a good game and to the referee Kevin Cunningham. Thanks to the parents who supplied food and treats after the match.

........🏆Boys 12's National Cup🏆..........
Our u12's "B" squad played Shelbourne FC of Limerick City today in the National Cup.
It was a tough draw & the match proved to be no different.
Our guys put in some huge performances throughout the match, we were deservedly 1 a piece at half time. We had to contend with the wind also so to be level was very impressive.
Sadly for us the wind played no factor in the second half and a couple of unlucky moments caused 2 goals in a short space of time. It was tough on the lads from this point and Shelbourne scored a very good goal to make it 4-1 and unfortunately there was a fifth with the very last kick of the game.
A final scoreline of 5-1 but on the balance of play a 3-1 loss would have reflected more accurately. That said, a loss is a loss.
Some performances that impressed, Donnagh in the back line was solid, Faylin worked tirelessly throughout, Timmy got our goal which was well worked through passes from Jacob and Faylin.
Our man of the match goes to Darragh Maguire between the sticks, commanding on crosses, getting the orders out to his defence and as ever fantastic shot stops.

U14 National Cup

Unfortunately, our u14" b" boys team came up against an excellent Bunratty Cratloe team in the National Cup today.

Bunratty got off to a great start with a goal within the first minute. Park regrouped and it wasn’t long before Park were level with what can only be described as goal of the match from RORY CLIFFORD with an unstoppable shot from outside the box.

Bunratty pushed us hard from them on and ran out deserved winners. The Park boys should be so proud of themselves for the way they played today. Thank you to Bunratty Cratloe for an excellent and fair game and the referee.

Captain for the National Cup against Bunratty Cratloe was Aidan McCarthy.

*U12 National Cup – Match Report*

It was always going to be a tough challenge for the St. Brendan’s Park boys as they entered today’s National Cup tie playing a year up in the competition. Despite the age difference, the boys showed great determination, battling hard from the first whistle right through to the end.

*First Half*

Both St. Brendan’s Park and Avenue United fought hard throughout the opening half in what was a competitive cup tie. Park took the lead when Connor slid a pass through to Adam, who showed great feet inside the box before being brought down to win a penalty.

Connor stepped up and kept his composure, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way to put Park 1–0 ahead. The boys continued to work hard, defending their lead and competing for every ball until the half-time whistle, going into the break 1–0 up.

*Second Half*

Avenue United came out of the blocks quickest after the restart and scored an early second-half goal to bring the game level. They continued to put pressure on Park and added two more quick-fire goals, turning the game in their favour.

Avenue continued their scoring, adding a further two goals to make the final score 1–5. Despite the scoreline, the Park boys never stopped fighting. Robbie came close to pulling a goal back with a superbly struck free kick, but the Avenue goalkeeper produced an excellent save to keep it out.

U16 Division 2

Park FC "B" 1 v Mastergeeha FC "B" 4

The result doesn't do justice to how well our lads played in their second game of the season.

Anton Wattam's excellent goal after 20 minutes was no more than Park deserved with great control across the back and excellent passing in midfield and up front.

Darragh Murphy on the wing caused Mastergeeha trouble throughout with Gerry McDonald and Anton Wattam being a nuisance to the visitors' defence.

The problem was that we didn't hit the target enough to trouble the keeper.

The wind was with Mastergeeha in the second half and the difference was that they took the chances.

Park never gave up and continued to play great football with lovely passing.

Thanks to the players, coaches and parents.
