Praroha training and performing arts centre was started with an aim to provide systematic academic training in Kathak (art of story telling) among young aspirants. Courses offered online as well offline in following section
Over time, we developed expertise in not just Kathak but other forms of dance as well. We now excel in authentic and comparative-fusion performances in not just Indian dance forms but also in dance forms from other countries for different category audiences. Apart from these we also provide authentic and professional workshops in various Indian folk dance forms on a regular basis.

Ms. Lakshmi G, started learning Kathak at Natya Institute of Kathak and Choreography, Bangalore, Under the guidance of Guru Dr. (smt) Maya Rao & Smt. She was also guided by Smt. Shama bhate (Pune) and by Smt. Rani Khannam (Delhi). She pursued her B.A. in Kathak and Choreography at College of Kathak and Choreography, (Affiliated to Bangalore University); M.A. in Kannada (Mysore University) and a Diploma course in folklore from Dr. H.L.Nage Gowda's Karnataka Janapada Parishat, Bangalore. She has also acquired knowlage in the various art forms by attending systematic workshops in Seraikella Chhau conducted by Shri. Shashdhar Acharya, Kalari conducted by Ranjan Mullarat (Bangalore) and Martial Arts by Shri sonar Chand (Manipur). She adopts an eclectic approach that is a blend of the Jaipur and Lucknow gharanas, which is reflected in her choreographies. She has choreographed many Mythological, Historical, Sanskrit and Contemporary theme based dance-dramas. She has conducted various workshops at different regions of Karnataka for all her specializations.
