His Icelandic name, Hafþór means the God of the sea! I call him the "God of the Tatami" ☺️ for the peaceful warrior he has in him revealing his modesty and humility in his every action on the mat! Very little time in Judo having joined the summer course but so much in love with it looking forward for the new semester on the 17th August as he exclaims!
Hafþór Bjarki's participation in the National Youth Competition in Judo greatly honours him as it is a way to give more visibility to Judo in the country. Congratulations, Hafþór! I am looking forward to being on the mat with you again!

🌍 when common language is "Judo" with athletes from all around the world 🌍

During a journey, you are never alone. There are those who accompany you since the early beginning. For this reason, I greatly thank all those who have been involved and those who have supported me in several ways these last two and a half years till the completion of the Education. I am also grateful for having the chance to meet so inspirational people from all around the world and amazed by the professionalism of James Mulroy and Cilia Evenblij. For me, the last phase of Judo Intellectual Disability Project sympolises the very beginning of incredible things ahead. 🙏
