Iceland Hill Rally

To say I am puzzled is mild. The Iceland Hillrally over the last few years has created a hunger for more events.
Well Tryggvi and I have answered that request. 2 dates have already been postponed due to a lack of interest.
We have an event ready on Saturday, 16th May but only 2 entries paid. We will run it with 5.

So looking for another 3, or perhaps those that have registered just pay so you class as an entry.

Why ask us to host the events if you don't enter?
This is what you are missing, 1 day's racing for 60 00isk with almost 100k over 9 stages. They are fast flowing fun stages NO WATER (unless it rains).

Þar sem ekki náðist lágmarksfjöldi keppenda til að halda keppnina þá hefur framkvæmdanefnd óskað eftir því við AKÍS að keppninni verði frestað þar til síðar í sumar.
Auðvitað er opið í keppni tvö sem verður þá keppni eitt - eða þannig.

Brátt rennur út skráningarfrestur í fyrstu keppninni í fyrsta Íslandsmótinu í sveitarally (Cross Country Rally).
Fyrsta og önnur umferð í mótinu verða sunnudaginn 10. maí og síðan 16. maí, þannig að það er þétt og gott...

Við ökum kringum og út frá Skálanum í Þorlákshöfn, þannig að ekki er um langan veg að fara (fyrir flesta)

Posting an idea we are considering to make UK and EU entry to the Iceland Hill Rally a lot easier and a fixed budget.
The idea, not yet available, is a package that covers the following;
Entry fee
Wednesday to Sunday inclusive accommodation B&B type
Rally dinner
Mainland UK transport for race vehicle to Eimskip and return after event
Dock side pick up and return for rally vehicle in Iceland
Iceland airport shuttle and transport on rally days between service and B&B
Provision of experienced rally mechanics (Icelandic)
Recovery of rally car if required

NOT included, seaway insurance, personnel flights and UK side airport transfer, lunch and evening meals. (though we provide a lot of food during the event).

What would you expect to pay? Our estimate made on current quotations (not fuel crisis) is under 10000 Euro

This is not a commercial enterprise it is offered through the Rally Company as a way of making it easier for competitors.

The weekend is upon us, the Winter Olympics is in full swing and our Secretary of the Event is hooked, so we thought it was a time for a trip down memory lane.

Jeremy Clarkson visited Iceland in the mid 90s for a taste of Icelandic motorsport. Clarkson may have changed, fashion sense may have changed and Iceland may have changed…. a little (well, more tourists) but the one thing we can guarantee is that, 30 years on, Icelandic motorsport is still as extreme and adrenaline inducing as ever.

The Iceland Hill Rally may not be a formula offroad competition but it is just as exciting, challenging and rewarding. If you want a taste of the terrain you will encounter, take a look at this 23min video, plenty of time to whet your appetite!

There are 3 more days left if you wish to book accommodation for the 2026 Iceland Hill Rally. The rooms are twin bedded and 650 Euro including rally dinner on Saturday night. After the 9th we are not handling bookings and you will need to book direct, at a different rate.
