🤝 What happens when Digital Jersey members come together to turn an idea into reality?

Digital Jersey members School of International Financial Services (SIFS) and Michael Butler have joined forces to develop a new Open Access learning platform, making professional training and CPD management easier for financial services professionals.

Built locally in Jersey, the platform brings together live webinars, an on-demand library of over 700 sessions and personal CPD records, all in one place. It also gives businesses better visibility of their teams' training and progress.

By working closely together and using feedback from learners and businesses, SIFS and Michael have created a platform that meets the needs of its users, with further improvements already planned for 2027.

It's a great example of how collaboration within the Digital Jersey community can lead to new ideas, practical solutions and real results!

🏁 One week on, and we're looking back at some of our favourite moments from the 8th Annual Jersey TechAwards!

From the excitement of the winner announcements to the entertainment from host Jo Caulfield and the celebrations that followed, it was a fantastic evening bringing Jersey's digital community together.

With 14 awards presented, including our new One to Watch Award, the night was a chance to recognise the people and businesses using technology to make a real difference across the Island.

🌧️ Digital Jersey Hub Closure Notice: Storm Austen

Due to the severe weather conditions expected as Storm Austen approaches Jersey, the Digital Jersey Hub will be closed on Friday 23rd October as a precaution to ensure the safety of our members, visitors and staff.

🔑 Members with JustIN access will still be able to access our facilities, although the Hub will be unmanned during this time.

We encourage all members to follow the latest weather advice and avoid unnecessary travel during the storm.

🤖 What could working with one of the world's leading AI technology companies mean for Jersey?

We're exploring just that, as Digital Jersey announces plans for a potential collaboration with NVIDIA, looking at how advanced AI and accelerated computing could support productivity, innovation and responsible AI adoption across the island.

Building on the Jersey AI Playbook, developed through the Jersey AI Council, this work will explore how Jersey can make the most of AI while maintaining the trust, security and governance that are so important to our economy.

💬 Tony Moretta, CEO of Digital Jersey, said:
"Jersey’s size, connectivity and collaborative ecosystem give us an opportunity to move quickly while adopting AI responsibly. Working with NVIDIA would allow us to enable advanced AI capabilities with potential gains in productivity, innovation and skills across the island."

As part of the exploration, NVIDIA would contribute technical expertise in accelerated computing, AI software, digital twins and AI agents, helping us assess potential opportunities and the practical steps needed to support adoption.

The next step is to define the scope, governance and key outcomes of this exploratory work, with a focus on giving Jersey's organisations the knowledge and support to adopt AI with confidence.

Join us on Thursday 5th November at the Digital Jersey Hub for a morning of networking, insightful lightning talks and the chance to catch up with fellow members.

A fantastic day at the Skills Show! 💻

We've had a great time meeting students and showcasing the exciting opportunities available in the digital sector.

From getting behind the wheel of the racing simulator to exploring STEM, digital skills and future career pathways, it's been brilliant to see so much enthusiasm from the next generation.

We also invited some of our members along, including Harvey Jones from Island Driven Podcast, Zynergy Media and Lapin Logic Ltd, to share their experiences and give students an insight into the opportunities within Jersey's digital industry.
