Day 2 of the Youth Hackathon 🚀

After a busy first day exploring challenges and developing their initial ideas, our teams are back at the Digital Jersey Academy for Day 2.

Today is all about bringing those ideas to life, refining their solutions and getting ready to pitch them to our judging panel later today.

We’ve already seen some brilliant creativity, collaboration and problem-solving from the 43 students taking part, and we’re excited to see what they come up with!

Can young people do a better job than adults at solving Jersey's biggest challenges?

That's exactly what we're putting to the test over this week.

Over the next two days, 43 students have taken over the Digital Jersey Academy to tackle real issues facing our island. Loaded with open data, industry mentors and plenty of creativity, they're identifying problems, exploring opportunities and turning their ideas into working prototypes, and if today is anything to go by, they might just have a point.

The Academy has been buzzing with collaboration, fresh thinking and ideas that challenge the way we usually approach problems. Sometimes a different perspective is exactly what's needed.

Tomorrow, the teams will refine their solutions before pitching them to our judging panel. We can't wait to see what they come up with.
