We have sailed the Spring regatta at ÅSS this weekend. We managed to win the regatta after two days with good conditions and shifty winds. More from Mathias below.

We made it on the podium behind Team Elving! The overall winners were team Piccolo with Björn Hansen at the helm.

The new season kicks of in Tivat, Montenegro at the Porto Montenegro Yacht Club and the 2026 edition of Montenegro Spring Cup! Five Finnish teams showed up to escape the ice and snow at home!

9th place at the Nordic Sailing League Finals. Another day of strong winds and tough conditions on the water. We sailed pretty good today but missed the finals by 1 point unfortunately. Markus tells more about the day in the video in the comments.

First day over at the Nordic Sailing League Finals. Staffan tells about the day in a surprise interview.
The day started with a long wait for the wind to slow down. At 4pm we started sailing and got 2 races for each team.

Silver at the Finnish Match Racing Championship!
After 3 days of fun and intense racing we ended up with a silver medal after narrowly losing the gold to Lucas Karlemo & team. We finished the round robin around lunchtime today and we qualified for the semi finals alongside the teams of Lucas Karlemo, Björn Hansen and Tusse Tallberg. Lucas chose to face Tusse in his semi final, which left us facing Björn. We managed to win 2 straight matches and qualified for the finals. After 2 very eventful matches in the strong southwesterly breeze, we were all square at 1-1. Unfortunately time ran out and as Lucas & team had won the Round Robin they were the winners.
Really fun with a match racing comeback after an 8-year break! (hopefully not as long until next time)
Next up for Alandia Sailing Team is the 6mR world championship in Long Island for Staffan and Jasper, starting tomorrow. After that Markus, Staffan, Emil and Leo Pahlman will end the season with the Nordic Sailing League Finals in Marstrand, Sweden on the 4-5th of October, where we will face the top 6 teams from each Nordic country’s national sailing league. Will be a tough regatta for sure!

Second day at the Finnish Match Racing Championship over. We had another good day, winning 5 races and losing 2. Tomorrow we have one more race to sail before hopefully we’ll have time for semifinals and finals to decide it all.

This weekend, Markus and Emil are sailing the Finnish match racing championships at ÅSS together with Micke Berg and Sandra Sonneborn. Tough competition from both match racing legends, Olympic sailors and younger talent, will be an exciting weekend!

3rd place in the Finnish Sailing League Finals. Markus tells more about the day. Second day of the Finnish Sailing League Finals with some ups and downs. In 3rd place ahead of the final day, but still an opportunity to get the win! Light winds promised for tomorrow so anything can happen. Emil talks a bit more about the day in the video below.
