Labour Party projection points to 87.5% turnout as all boxes are reconciled

The latest projections by Partit Laburista for the 2026 General Election points to a national turnout of 87.5%, after all ballot boxes were reconciled.

According to the projection, 312,091 votes have been reconciled out of 356,832 registered voters. The graphic shows that all 833 ballot boxes have now been reconciled, giving a complete picture of turnout across Malta and Gozo before the counting process moves into its next stages.

The projected turnout also shows an increase of 1.8 percentage points, suggesting stronger participation than initially indicated earlier in the process.

Turnout appears strongest in the 7th District, where the projection reaches 90%, with 23,789 votes reconciled. Several districts are also projected at 89%, including the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 13th districts.

The 1st District is projected at 87%, the 3rd, 8th and 11th districts at 88%, while the 9th District stands at 85%.

The lowest projected turnout is shown in the 12th District, at 81%, followed by the 10th District at 83%.
