Message from the CODC!

❗️BMX park, Alexandra toilets closed ❗️

Pipes have frozen so we've had to close the toilets at the BMX park in Alexandra today. 🥶🥶

We'll keep you updated about when we can reopen this facility.

Other public toilets in town are still open: Molyneux Park, behind Paper Plus, Pioneer Park, boat ramp, and by Kāmoanahaehae - Riverside Park still open.

Day off today before the excitement begins! 😍

Tomorrow marks the start of the UCI BMX World Championships for our crew, and we want to wish all of our Alexandra BMX riders the very best of luck.

Go out there, enjoy every moment, and make the most of this incredible experience. We are all so proud of you! 💚🖤

We'd also like to thank Fulton Hogan Alexandra, 103 The Store Roxburgh, and Placemakers Alexandra for their generous donations and contributions towards our cheese roll fundraiser.

We are incredibly grateful for every bit of support we've received throughout our fundraising mission — from picking strawberries, fundraiser clean-up, moving an office, selling raffles at the Alexandra District Club, making and buying thousands of cheese rolls, and joining in on our Hotshot Racing Every bit of help has reduced the costs for our riders and made this journey possible.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our riders along the way. We truly couldn't do it without our amazing community. 💚🖤🏁

🛑✋️ Track Closed due 2 the rain we have had ✋️🛑

We are incredibly disappointed to receive these photos of objects and debris being left on our BMX track.

The safety of everyone who uses the facility is our number one priority. We all want a safe place to ride, and leaving rocks, timber, or any other objects on the track creates a serious risk of accidents and injury.

These items simply should not be on the riding surface.

Our club is run entirely by volunteers who give up their own time to maintain and improve the track for the benefit of the whole community — not just Alexandra BMX Club members.

We work hard to keep the facility clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone, so it is frustrating to see unnecessary hazards deliberately placed on the track.

If anyone saw anything, or has any information about how these items came to be on the track, please send us a private message.

We ask everyone to respect the facility, look out for one another, and help us keep the track safe for all riders.

💚🖤 WOW! 765 dozen cheese rolls made! 🖤💚

That's a massive 9,180 cheese rolls rolled, filled, and packed over Friday and Saturday! 🙌

A huge thank you to everyone who gave up their time to help out — especially our amazing non-BMX crew who stepped in and got stuck in. Your support means so much to us.

We'd also like to thank everyone who purchased cheese rolls, donated ingredients, supplies, or helped in any way to keep our costs down.

The support from our community has been incredible and is helping make this journey possible for our riders.

The countdown to the BMX World Championships is getting closer, and we can't wait to see our riders represent New Zealand on the world stage next month! 🇳🇿🌏
