Sunday May 17th. Clear, very cold day with little wind. Just the odd puff enough to keep the shooters on their toes.

Very sad to report that Brian Hawksby passed away Thursday May 7th after a courageous battle, aged 82 years. Brian's wish was for a private memorial service held yesterday. The Club will miss this respected gentleman, we all enjoyed his company at the Butts as well as all South Island ranges over the 17 years. He often talked about his shooting highlight being a member of the NZ Vets in 2011 in Brisbane where he collected 2 individual medals. Our condolences go to his family and friends.

The Mid Canterbury Sports and Recreation Awards were held in Ashburton last night, and look who got inducted as Legend 2026 - our very own John Snowden.
Congratulations John on this very well deserved accolade. You've certainly earned your place on the walls of the EA Centre with the previous inductees.
We are so proud of you.
No shoot at the Ashburton Range this Sunday, 10th, due to road closures for car racing.
