Had good catch up with few people at Taupo last weekend, testing cars etc in winter series runs. Hopefully Mark Allan who ran with us previously is coming back to have fun and some 'social' racing. He has had a little break and repaired the Firenza from some GT2 battles. Good to have these people and varity of cars with us. Well just got very good news, from the man himself. " I would like to rejoin and do the MG classic at Manfeild, then Manfeild, Taupo. Car is 1972 Vauxhall Firenza running 331 Chev originally built by Russell Due in 1989 and run in various groups including kiwi sports sedans ,I purchased in 2001 and have owned since, have competed in North Island Oscar, gtrnz, Historic Sports Sedans, Taupo Car Club events . Car has been unused for last 2-3years but has been put back on track have been doing some Taupo Car Club events to settle back in". Welcome.

Got to thank our 3990 followers. Just had our AGM meeting with a good turnout. It's not easy in today's climate with the cost of everything, race gas, engine rebuilt and track fees, but thanks to our members its looking good for Manfeild 13th to 15th November. It was an exciting meeting last year with our invited allcomers the Trams Ams joining us. (Rod Grimwood) I am adding a few photos from our last visit to Manfield this Februaury, last meeting for last season. My grid shots and Jarods action shots.

BRUCE GOODWIN, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, a very special day for a very special guy. He has been amongst the Sports Sedan and Motorsport for many years, and his and lovely wife Margaret's love of racing and cars along with his nature and laughter is contagious, lucky for all of us who have been fortunate to have been caught by it all. This was built by CI Munro in 1985/86 for Dunlop as a Motorsport service unit incorporating tyre machines and Caravan set-up in the front with a viewing platform.
I had the privilege of spray painting this unit brand new when I worked there in the mid 80’s. I’d see this unit at Pukekohe often.. Does anyone know when it is today???🏁🏁🏁 Greg Smith
