Sunday was my walk and it was a beautiful winter day. I enlisted Pam to lead the amblers and they seemed to enjoy their walk. However I had not allowed for duck watching or the odd walker who decided they wanted to g the other way. Anyway we all ended up at the Club for coffee n the sun so another great morning with ths group of lovely souls.

LindaC took us for a lovely walk around her hood. Wigram has developed so much in recent years I was completely lost but we managed two groups and all arrived for coffee at the end. Winter has well and truely arrived and it was a chilly start but we had fun and amused some of the locals. Great coffee at Black and w
White Thankyou Linda

Sunday, and Georgie couldn't have chosen a better day for her walk on the beach. It was NW and warm 18 degrees but with a wind chill factor. It was a beautiful day. We met heaps of people and dogs. We were also able to watch the Nelson College rugby team going or a compulsory swim. Towards the end of the walk we met Georgie the husky which seemed appropriate as Georgie was leading our walk. To Esquires for coffee. Thankyou Georgie and Helen for a great walk.

Graeme and Janice took us for a walk around their hood in Northwood. We had an Amblers and Ramblers and it worked really well. Autumn leaves everywhere and some interesting gardens. Coffee at the club. Luckily we were able to sit outside as the fan over the grill was broken so the whole place was a bit smokey.

The ramblers and the amblers spent a pleasant hour in the leafy suburb of Fendalton. We passed beautiful houses some of which were for sale. The amblers split off at some point but arrived back at the car park so it worked well. Lyn has her story to tell though! As it was AGM day we had to get back to the Club to pay our subs and plan for another year. Then there was a short lunch before going home. A great way to spend a Sunday morning.

Sunday Walking Group. We had a trip to Travis Wetlands and the weather was perfect. Collette organised it and a big thank you as she had to meet us at Esquires for coffee. The non walkers are growing in number these days so it is always a happy coffee stop.

I have photos but computer glitch so will keep trying..Sunday a walk from Heather around the houses to rainbow Springs Reserve. We started from Mitchell park and down the street past dogs, dahlias and a door. Pam returned from a long sick leave and probably found the walk a bit longer than normal but we all managed. Interestingly all the electronic devices recorded different distances but it was over an hour and I think about 4.5 km. Coffee at the club always fun. Thank
you Heather for leading this walk.
