Around 15 or 16 years ago, I came to a quiet but powerful realisation â I wasnât truly happy. On the surface, everything looked great: a supportive partner, amazing kids, a stable job. But inside, I felt like life was just happening around me. I felt more like a bystande
r than the main character in my own story. The days were full, but there was no deeper sense of purpose beyond the daily routine. I was struggling with anxiety and a lack of self-confidence. I didnât know where or what I wanted but I knew I wasnât on the right track, so via my job at the time for personal development, I engaged with a Life Coach. This was transformational for me! Together we reflected on my life so far, we spoke about key moments, discovered what was really important to me, by identifying my values at the time, we focused on what I could control and not what I couldnât, even this small realisation has had a profound affect one me years later. We came up with a plan, and here we are, yes itâs been a while in the making, I agree, but here I am, where Iâve always wanted to be. A Professional Life Coach, Mindfulness facilitator, and very nearly a Clinical Hypnotherapist, all training completed at my own pace while managing a family of 6, moving cities and adopting rescue dogs. My coaching aim now is to provide support for people in similar situations to where I found myself, as well as those who either need support to find their way or to find ways to achieve their already pre-determined goals. My goal in hypnotherapy aligns closely with that of coachingâto provide the necessary support for personal growth and to facilitate the transformation of habits that no longer serve us, such as smoking, over eating, anxiety, procrastination and many more. As well as overcoming challenges such as phobias, and pain managementâall with the aim of helping individuals become the best version of themselves. Itâs never too late or too early for change, donât sit back and let life run you! We only have one life, and itâs way too short to live without happiness, passion and purpose.Taking that first step can be a little daunting I know, but it just might be the start of something powerful, a moment where you reclaim your sense of self and start thriving again. Following on from Sunday's post ....
Itâs easy to look around and feel like everyone else is getting there faster. But remember, youâre on your own timeline.
Growth isnât always loud or visible. Sometimes it looks like:

⨠Trying again after a setback
⨠Backing yourself when no one else sees the effort

Sometimes things don't happen as fast as you hopedâŚ( Sue & I are both living proof!) but donât give up. Just take some time to think about what it is you're after and keep moving.
