Sunday is Bathurst at the Clubrooms - get along to watch the Great Race. Madsen Catering will be doing yum food on the smoker but unfortunately the bouncy castle can’t make it for the kids. See you there for a cold one and what will be some awesome racing!

Bathurst Family Day - This Sunday!

Doors will be open from 10am, see you there for a big day watching The Great Race. Bar opens at 11am, Andy’s smoker will be running hot providing yum food. TV guide for the day as per photo

Bathurst at the clubrooms is next weekend! Head along for a yarn with your mates over a cold one and watch the action unfold on the big screen. Andy from Madsen Catering Co. will have his smoker on form for some superb food, kids will be entertained on the bouncy castle and there will be a sim to see how good your time is around the mountain. Sad news with the passing of Carol Liston, who attended many of our events over the years and was also a talented navigator. Thoughts go out to Grant and the Liston family at this sad time.

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. Prostate cancer affects around 1 in 8 men. Over 4,500 men are diagnosed annually with prostate cancer. And sadly, over 700 men die annually of prostate cancer.

If detected early, prostate cancer is fully curable. But if detected late - once it has spread beyond the prostate - it is often not curable and can be fatal. It is therefore essential that men aged 45 and over have regular prostate checks with their doctor.

The Hamilton Car Club Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on October 14, 2026 at 7:30pm at the Hamilton Car Club rooms, 116 Vaile Road, Hamilton.

As part of the AGM, the following positions will be open for nomination:

Club Captain & Committee Members

Event Organiser / Subcommittee roles

The current President, Secretary, and Treasurer have confirmed they will be re-sitting for these positions.

Attached is the AGM Agenda for 2026.

We encourage all members to review these documents prior to the meeting and consider putting their names forward for any roles they wish to support.

Following the AGM our club night will commence like usual, along with guest speaker Ken Adamson, who will share some of his memorable rallying stories.

Our club is fortunate to have support for our events through businesses like Traffic Safe New Zealand - making our events run smoothly on the day. We appreciate the support they provide and value the partnership, which is now two years in. We have also had the opportunity for their team to hop in the passengers seat to experience the thrill of a stage run at some of our events too. Thanks team!

We love supporting local sports events.

We were therefore happy to partner with the Hamilton Car Club Inc. for their recent Hoddle Road event, delivering dedicated traffic management setup and controls to make sure everyone stayed safe on and off the course.

Thanks to everyone that came to our club night last night. We raised over $600 for Blue September and to raise awareness of men’s health. Big thanks to our guest speakers Glen Devcich for the talk on men’s health and to Mike Tubbs and Mike Ashton for their talk about their Motorsport experiences over the years. Big shoutout to Madsen Catering for putting on an awesome buffet dinner too. There is still time to donate to Blue September, head over to our page.
