With 4 NEW machines in the upstairs weights room we thought it would help to provide tutorials for each!!
Swipe to get tutorials for the Belt Squat, Preacher Curl/Tricep Extension, Lateral Raise, and the Leg extension/curl!
The Belt Squat looks intimidating but once you learn how it use it, it’s a very versatile machine!
Tips:
• Belt tightness depends on how tall or short you are e.g if you are taller, the belt should be looser
• When you stand up, you’re lifting the weight and therefore releasing the safety. When you are done, pull the leaver towards yourself and lower slowly
If you have ANY questions or want an in-person tutorial PLEASE speak to one of our trainers or book a consult
The preacher curl is perfect for targeting your biceps and when you switch it into the tricep extension, this machine becomes the perfect addition to any upper/sharms day!
Tips:
• Adjust the seat to a height that’s the most comfortable, this will ensure you have the correct form

The Lateral Raise is a good way to target your shoulders. It can be confusing considering it’s called a lateral raise but it actually DOESN’T target your lats!
Tips:
• Adjust the seat to a height that’s the most comfortable, this will ensure you can reach the arm pads.
• Make sure to sit facing into the machine and squeeze at the top for the best burn

This machine is a great way to work your hamstrings and your quads, getting a burn through the upper leg!
Tips:
• Adjust the back of the seat to determine how far forward you sit
•For leg extensions, the bottom leg pad should be sitting just above your ankle
• For the leg curl, you want the same placement except your legs will be sitting on top of the bottom pad.
• The top pad should be lowered to keep you in place when doing the leg curl to ensure proper form
