Hamilton Indoor Bowls

Congratulations to the Hamilton team who won the Moore Cup challenge today. This annual sub-centre event between Hamilton, Eastern and Morrinsville was held at the home of Waikato Indoor Bowls.

Thank you to the Umpires - John Neal, Alex Jones, Roy McCurdy - who multi tasked while playing!

Thanks to Betty Clough for managing the day and the wonderful Morrinsville team for kitchen duties.

Thanks to John Gavin for organising and managing our team and keeping the Lolly container well stocked.

A great day played in good spirits.

The winning team in the Hamilton Fours this year with three outright wins was Solomon’s team from Koromatua - Solomon, Gordon, Steffan and Lawrence. Steffan and Lawrence were also presented with the first winners badge.

Runner up with 1 1/2 wins was Matthew, Logan, Liam and Grant.

Raffle prizes of bacon and eggs went to Roddy and Barry.

Supper was ginger nut biscuits and hot savouries, perfect on such a wet night!

Green theme winners were Steffan, Steve, Eric, Marson and Gordon - thanks to those that were in Green.

Thank you to the people that helped with the dishes at the end of the night.

Next event is our Kaimai Challenge against Tauranga in August, followed by the Moore Cup then finishing up with Champion of Champions.
