Is your dad brave enough to have a go in our cold plunge pool? Bring him down on Sunday and see 👀 but be warned, it's 12 degrees 🥶 which is nearly as cold as Oreti Beach.

It might be the first day of spring, but someone forgot to tell the Invercargill weather 🌧️ Luckily, it’s always swimming weather at Splash Palace 🏊
Whether you swim for fitness, fun or a bit of time to yourself, Swimtember is a great month to get back in the water.

Last week, Southern Ocean Safety Equipment Limited used Splash Palace to help familiarise the South Port NZ marine team with important water safety equipment, including liferaft inflation and the use of inflatable lifejackets.
It was great to see our facilities supporting practical training for people who work around water.

☕ $3.50 coffees today (28 Aug) at Liquid Cafe!
We know many of our neighbours got a little less sleep last night due to contractor work taking place for our new changing rooms.
We're really sorry for the disturbance and understand how frustrating that would have been.
As a small thank you for your patience and understanding, we're offering $3.50 coffees today.
Pop in, grab a coffee, and let us make it up to you.

Take care visiting us this Thursday evening (27 Aug), with traffic management in place for the Southland Stags vs Hawke's Bay 💪
Partial lane closures and turn restrictions will be in place around Elles Road before and after the 7.10pm game. The road may look closed, but access to Splash Palace will remain available.
Look for the Pool Access Only signs beside the traffic marshals and let them know you’re heading to the pool. You can also access us from the north, with a marshal stationed beside Mitre 10 to guide vehicles through.
Please allow a little extra time and follow the directions of the traffic management team.
Thanks team and have a go Southland 🦌
Thanks to Debbie Fahey Photography for this amazing shot of the team.

We’re building six new individual changing rooms and three new toilets at the south-east end of our building 🛠
The new private cubicles will give customers more choice and help ensure our family and accessible changing rooms are available more often.
The project is scheduled to begin next Monday (24 August) and we expect it to take about six months.
Construction won’t affect the current changing rooms, but there may be some noise and disruption around the existing change rooms and poolside entry while work is underway.
Pedestrian access along the main driveway will be limited during construction. Please use the path along the north side of the facility if you are on foot.
Vehicle traffic in and out of the car park may also be affected at times, including the drop-off spaces at the front of the building.
We’ll have signs in place to help you get around safely once construction begins, and we’ll keep you updated if anything changes.
We appreciate your patience and look forward to showing you the new changing rooms when they’re finished!
