Some of our senior BCR 🩷🖤💀 crew helped out yesterday with the open day for our junior league Guns & Roses Junior Roller Derby (GNRs).
Such an awesome day!! 🤩🙌 We had lots of enthusiastic new skaters and we were super impressed that everyone was up and rolling straight away!! 🛼🛼
More pics will be posted on the GNR page so pop on over to their page to check them out 🤩📸 - here’s their FB group ⬇️:

BCR’s 🩷🖤 Freya the Slayer + some helpers took our newbies to the big outdoors 🏞️ on Sunday afternoon! Starting out with some anxious and wobbly knees 😬, we soon had everyone up and rolling 🛼🛼 and saw some
🫲—HUGE—🫱 gains in skills 👏 and confidence 🙌😎.
We started out at the National Aquarium of NZ and headed out along Marine Parade, negotiating some uneven surfaces with bricks 🧱, slopes 📉, gravel 🪨, dogs 🐕 and cyclists 🚴. After the initial nerves passed, the adrenaline and dopamine kicked in!! 😁🥳 We had so much fun zooming 🏎️ down one of slopes we had to go back and do it again!! 🔂 (look out Bay Skate Napier, New Zealand we might have a new park skater for ya! 🥳)
We even managed a street crossing for a well-earned refreshment stop at The Pavilion Sports Bar & Eatery before heading back along the pathway.

Got FOMO? 😫🥰 We are considering offering some outdoor skate lessons and skate meet-ups over summer 🛼🛼☀️😎: learn to street skate and/or learn to park skate. Hit us up in the comments ⬇️ or DMs to let us know if you’re keen and what you would be looking for - whether you’re in need of some assistance 🤝 or just after some buddies to roll with 👯🛼🛼.

ℹ️ Learn to Skate returns to normal time and venue from this coming Sunday (Meeanee, 5-7pm).
