Celebrating success!! At just 15 years old, our very own Jessica Thompson has had an incredible past 2 weeks! First achieving an impressive 3rd place in the 1* class at the Autumn Horse Trials in Hawkes Bay on her new horse Lordy, then following up with 'Best performing TB' at Central Districts over the weekend in the CCN95 on JC.

Even better - today is Jess' 16th birthday and we all want to wish her a huge 'Happy Birthday'!!

Celebrating success!! This week our very own Norah Gibson and her pair Lleucu Anderson (Wairarapa Pony Club) took home the 2026 title for the U12 category at the National MGA competition in Hastings.

At age 11, she was also invited to be part of an U18 team along with her pair Lleucu and also Isaac McLay & Zara Stevens from
Upper Valley Pony Club and Molly Cookson-Davies (Ardmore Pony Club). They fought hard against some incredible talent and seasoned games riders, coming 6th overall.

Well done to Norah and all of her teammates for their achievements! 👏👏👏

Yesterday, sisters Amelia (14) and Norah (11) competed at the
Zone Games at Clareville. A cracking day all round and the Wairarapa even turned on the weather for us!

There were a whopping 8 pairs competing in the Junior Pairs section with some fierce competition, with our very own Belmont Pair achieving second place overall!

A last minute invitation to make up a team with some younger riders from Wairarapa pony club, gave them all an opportunity to have a run in the teams and take away a combined 6th ribbon.

Finally, Norah is heading up to Hawke's Bay next week to compete at the MGA National competition for 2026 - we wish her good luck and have fun!!

Epic day at Prince Philip Games for our Belmont Pony Club riders! Sisters Amelia and Norah Gibson taking out 1st place and the Junior Pairs trophy for BPC for the second year in a row!! Non competitive pair Norah on a green pony and our lead rein Mindy making us all so proud by riding in her very first team event AND riding her last race off the lead!! Belmont and Upper Valley joined forces in a mixed team and gave real chase to the leaders coming in a very competitive 2nd overall to the Upper Valley team. Such a wonderful collaborative event that always seems to produce fun, laughs, amazing sportsmanship and some genuine skill!!!! Can't wait for next year 🩷🤍💙🤍🩷🦄🦄

So many firsts and so many memories made this year at pony club camp! From jumping a first 95cm XC jump to riding independently off the lead for the first time 😍 So great welcoming new members to join our returning veterans and 100% great to see everyone getting amongst it in both the sunshine and the rain! Thanks to all of our amazing coaches , .equestrian and our own head coach not to mention our own members .thompson.eq, Emma Blackwell and Ella Gibb for looking after our young riders and green ponies 😍🥰🥰💙🤍🩷
