Shirts will be pick up from Pōneke Dojo, if you want one shipped you will need to cover shipping costs but we're happy to send it! There is a question at the bottom of the form regarding this.

There are multiple options of design and garment, the old dojo shirt will also be available again! Shirts designed by Senpai Neneh and printed locally in Wellington on AS Colour or Biz Clothing shirts. See the form for more details or send us a message 🥋

Congratulations to our Sensei and Senpai who successfully graded at the Kancho Matsui Auckland seminar 2026. Our team of candidates have been working hard for the past year in preparation as well as instructing and ensuring Pōneke Dojo continues to run smoothly for all of our members. The results of the grading are:

Osu! Great turn our yesterday for our 2026 Karate Games. Thanks to Hutt Valley Dojo, Mid City Porirua Dojo, Wellington Dojo and Manawatu Dojo for bringing your students along for some friendly competition and instructor support. Congratulations to all of our students as well for their hard work and efforts on the day. Looking forward to seeing you again next year!

Pōneke dojo at the Auckland 2026 Kancho Matsui seminar.

Thank you to the Shihans and volunteers who hosted us for an awesome weekend of training up in Auckland, we’re very fortunate to have a whole weekend with Kancho Matsui and Shihan Gorai who delivered a great technical seminar.

Our Karate Games are back for another year on Saturday 19th of September.

Open to all of our students 15 years and younger, as well as our other Wellington local IKO dojos. Time to brush up on those jump kicks!
