Every stripe and every belt tells a story.

Our adult JiuJitsu students are parents, executives, professionals, and business owners. They balance demanding careers, family responsibilities, and countless commitments, yet they continue to make time to step onto the mats and invest in becoming better versions of themselves.

Today, we recognize that commitment. Each stripe and belt awarded represents hours of training, lessons learned through both victories and setbacks, and the steady progress that comes from showing up consistently.

To all of our students, we see you, and we value your dedication—to your craft, to your teammates, and to Team ORIGINS. Thank you for helping build the culture that makes our academy what it is.

JiuJitsu is more than a martial art; it is a tool for improving lives. Every class, every round, and every day on the mats is another incremental step forward. Promotions are simply a reminder of how far you've come—and a motivation for the journey that still lies ahead.

All homegrown!!! All these teens started in our 4:30PM KIDS CLASS. Started with zero JiuJitsu and chubby cheeks - now on their 4th year of training. Everyone has done well in local, regional, national, and even international competitions.

We started ORIGINS NUVALI with just the goal of having training partners. We never imagined kids will grow with us. We never thought parents would bring their kids EVERYDAY to us. And now, they are their own community - they have their own chat groups. They see each other everyday in trainings, and still they talk to each other in chats, on weekends, outside the training hours, even when some are traveling - they are constantly in touch with each other. How tightly knitted the bonds that JiuJitsu formed.

Thank you dear parents! We are honored to see our kids growing alongside your kids. We feel very fortunate to have many good families to surround our own kids with.

Many of our original 4:30PM kids have grown and moved on to 5:45PM Teens Class. The remaining kids in this batch of 4:30PM class, are now a mix of new students and very "advanced kids." One of the very noticeable qualities we observed with the "advanced kids," is their ability to control their force, control their strength, energy, and techniques against the newer kids.

They don't go wild beating up the newer kids - but instead, they are very patient, very understanding - they even somehow teach and mentor the new ones and show them how it's done. And when these advanced kids are paired with other advanced kids - their game evolves from gentle into more aggressive and more powerful movements.

As coaches and gym owners, seeing these make us feel good and proud. We are happy to see that the "advanced kids" who have stayed with us this long have grown into humble, patient, responsible, and controlled kids. Thank you dear parents for the trust!

We are so proud of our 3PM JiuJitsu PLAY CLASS promotees. Many of these little ones started as very shy kids, some hiding behind their moms or dads, some having very short attention spans - wandering off in just a few minutes, some having crying bouts. But look at them now - getting promoted!!! Woohoo!

At ORIGINS Nuvali, we have very clear criteria on promotions of kids. Aside from consistency in training, these little ones need to be able to listen to the lessons, perform the movements, and play well with other kids. The stripes and change of belts are not readily given just because they attend - it is supported by different skills - movements, listening skills, interpersonal skills, others. Skills that go beyond the mats.

OC na kung OC. Maarte na kung maarte. But we really take cleaning seriously.

Because our own family members roll in these mats everyday, and so many little kids with very sensitive skin train everyday too, we are maarte in cleaning!

Happy to flex this heavy-duty vacuum cleaner that also doubles as deep steamer. It’s like we are deep-cleaning the mats daily!!! There’s a container where we can pour air cleaning essential oils too! It keeps the gym smelling fresh 😊🙌.
