Yesterday was a special day. 🥉🇷🇴
I took 3rd place in Power Breaking at the ITF World Cup in Benidorm.
Making the podium is something I knew I was capable of, but there’s a big difference between believing you can do something and actually climbing up the World Cup podium.
It was also great to share the podium with my old teammate Steve Arroyo. Congratulations my friend.
After more than 25 years in Taekwon-Do, I’m still learning, still competing and still fascinated by what the human body can do when technique, timing and power come together.
What made yesterday even more special was the timing.
1 October was exactly six years since I founded ACS Fortis București.
When we started Fortis in 2020, I really had no idea where it would take us. Six years later, we have a team competing at a World Cup, achieve results, and I’m standing on the podium myself.
On 11 August I became a Romanian citizen. Romania has been my home for many years, but yesterday was the first time I got to stand on an international podium and hold the Romanian flag as my flag too. That was a very proud moment. 🇷🇴
I’m proud of the medal, of course, but I’m even more proud of what we’ve built together at Fortis over these six years.
Happy 6th birthday, Fortis.
