Björkliden Arctic Mountain Marathon (BAMM) 14–15 Aug 2026 🏔️
 
Across two grueling yet breathtaking days, teams of two will navigate unassisted through pristine mountain peaks, deep valleys, and glacial landscapes. Competing across the 30, 50, and 70 classes, participants rely strictly on a map, compass, and true teamwork to push through the terrain before spending an overnight stay out in the elements. BAMM is far more than a traditional orienteering race; it is a raw test of strategy, perseverance, and shared endurance in one of Europe’s most dramatic landscapes.

Day 4 is on. As the mileage stacks up, the true battle begins. Exhaustion is setting in and the pace is slowing, but the trail always provides. The kindness of strangers along the way gives these runners the strength to keep moving after hours of isolation.
