Some gravel bikes are built to explore.
This one looks like it wants to start a fight. 🏁
A Specialized Crux built around one idea. Keep it fast, keep it clean, and don’t follow the usual spec sheet.

Up front, Shimano GRX RX827 Di2 controls the show. Out back? An XTR M9250 Di2 rear derailleur, bringing MTB-range capability into one seriously quick gravel package.

Specifications:
Frameset: Specialized Crux
Wheelset: Specialized Roval Terra Aero CL
Shifter Lever: Shimano GRX RX827 Di2
Rear Derailleur: Shimano XTR M9250 Di2
Handlebar: Zipp Service Course XPLR
Stem: B-TWIN
Crankset: Elilee XXE X310
Pedals: Favero Assioma RS
Saddle: Sella Italia SLR Boost
Tires: TUFO Gravel Thundero

The result is the kind of Crux that looks completely at home on gravel…

until the road turns smooth and everyone suddenly starts suffering.

Built by Bikecraft One.

Would you run a GRX × XTR setup on your gravel bike?

Titanium was never supposed to look this good.

Meet the Laget Pioneer One, a 3D-printed titanium road bike, built around one idea: make every detail count.

The raw titanium frame sets the tone, but look closer and things start getting slightly obsessive.

Shimano Ultegra Di2
🟣 36-piece Ti Parts titanium bolt kit. Marginal grams saved, far better resistance to sweat and weather, and an anodised candy finish that turns hardware into jewellery.
💿 74g Ti Parts rotors + lockrings
💨 No.6 52/58 Superlight Aero wheelset at just 1,267g for the wheelset, backed by a 4-year warranty.

And after all that titanium, carbon and purple hardware?

7.53kg. Complete.

Not built to disappear into the bunch.
Built so you keep finding new details every time you look at it.

Swipe through and zoom in. This one rewards it.
What’s your favourite detail: the raw titanium, the purple hardware, or the 52/58s?

$18,200 for a mountain bike.

Evil The Offering frame.
Push Industries suspension.
Shimano XTR Di2.
Chris King wheels.
Race Face Era carbon crank.
Title saddle.
Final weight: 16.65kg.

This is not a “budget build.”
This is what happens when trail riding meets financial violence.

Now let’s start the argument:

Is this the ultimate dream trail bike…
or has high-end mountain biking officially lost its mind?

Because for $18,200, some people would buy a Ducati or BMW motorbike.
Others would still choose this.

Which side are you on?

$25,000 for a gravel-road bike.

Baum Orbis+.
Titanium frameset.
Custom anodised Chris King parts.
Paint-matched ENVE cockpit.
SRAM Red eTap.
ENVE SES 3.4 wheels with bronze Chris King hubs.
Final weight: 7.16kg.

At some point, this stops being a gravel bike and becomes a luxury object that happens to survive dirt.

So let’s start the argument:

Would you actually ride this hard on gravel…
or is a $25,000 titanium build too beautiful to abuse?

Dream build, or completely unnecessary cycling theatre?

A $20,000 Colnago Y1RS came in covered in mud, grime, and road filth.

Felix and Irfan tore it down, rebuilt the headset, rescued cables from the shadow realm, installed a CeramicSpeed bottom bracket, waxed the chain, tuned the Di2 drivetrain, and brought the Italian superbike back to life.

Final weight: 7.91kg.

Now let’s start the argument:
Is the Colnago Y1RS an Italian engineering masterpiece…
or is it over-designed mechanical drama with a beautiful paint job?

And more importantly, would you ever buy a $20,000 bike?

Singapore doesn’t have mountains.
Apparently, nobody told these riders.

From kids and teenagers to some of the fastest men and women on two wheels, the Singapore Open Enduro turned Bukit Timah’s trails into a full-send race against the clock.

Loose dirt. Technical lines. Blind corners. Zero room for hesitation.

Different ages. Different levels.
Same objective: get down faster than everyone else.

This is what mountain biking in Singapore looks like when the tape goes up.

Would you race it next year?

This brand new Canyon Aeroad CF SLX 8 already cost $6,499 and weighed 7.6kg.

Which for most normal people would be more than enough bike.

But cyclists are not normal people.

So Felix upgraded it with a Tripeak ceramic pulley kit, a Tripeak ceramic bottom bracket, and a pair of No.6 52/58 Super Light Aero wheels.

Final weight: 7.42kg.

Now here’s the question:

If you just bought a brand new high-end road bike, would you ride it stock first…
or immediately start upgrading wheels, bearings, and every spinning part you can find?

At what point is it performance…
and at what point is it just obsession?

Let’s hear it.

A $13,000 Canyon Speedmax CFR with Dura-Ace Di2… running on stock aluminium DT Swiss wheels.

We had questions.

This red and matte black Speedmax came in after surviving an Ironman, carrying the usual evidence of triathlon warfare: sweat, dirt, rust, crystallised salt around the cockpit, and what we can only describe as “triathlete seasoning.”

So Irfan de Greaseman gave it the full treatment.

The bike was stripped down completely, cleaned, inspected, sent through the ultrasonic cleaner, repacked with fresh grease, and rebuilt properly. The bottom bracket was so seized with grime that even Irfan had to call in Felix the fish keeper for backup.

But the biggest transformation?

The stock aluminium wheels were removed.

In their place:
Pertual Sharp ADV front wheel — 540g, with bonded one-piece carbon spokes and fl**ge hub construction.

Pertual Aero 9 disc rear wheel — 970g of proper time trial intent.

Final weight: 10.05kg.

Now the Canyon finally looks like the race machine it was always meant to be.

So here’s the debate:

If you had a top-end TT bike like this, would you upgrade the wheels immediately, or are stock aluminium wheels perfectly acceptable until the engine gets faster?

A $10,000 tri bike.
A 3D-printed aero fairing.
A storage box bigger than some people’s apartments.
And a cockpit so complicated it nearly became a group project.

This Vanquish Tri 2.0 HD build had everything:
Di2 wire chaos, hydraulic hose routing, a 3D-printed saddle, and Qing learning very quickly that modern tri bikes are less “bicycle” and more “aerodynamic hostage situation.”

Final weight: 9.08kg.

Are modern tri bikes engineering masterpieces…
or have they become completely ridiculous?
