All trails closed with exception of one mile on ASDRA property. its been a great season. Thanks to all the volunteers who make the trails happen.
Warm weather has started to thaw Muldoon Swamp. Do not recommend running the Over the Mountain Trail. 6 mile trial is very good with exception of thin cover on the road crossing and under Elmore underpasses are icy and gritty. The outbound 3 mile underpass is very gritty. Sandy snow is melting down to just sand. Use training runners that have replaceable plastic. Majority of the trails are in good shape. P-38 on 8 mile has lots of foot traffic as does the airstrip. It will be gone soon!!

🏁TRAIL UPDATE🏁
The trail crew has worked through significant impacts to restore trail conditions in the area of the ball fields. Snow that had been placed on the trail was removed, areas that lost coverage were rebuilt, and the surface was reconditioned and groomed. The trail will need time to set overnight and is expected to reopen tomorrow, March 29.
At this time, we have not received recent updates regarding the work being conducted on the ball fields. Activity in this area directly affects trail conditions, planning, and most importantly the safety of our mushers. Clear and timely communication is critical so that we can coordinate efforts and avoid unnecessary disruption.
We will continue efforts to connect with the appropriate parties on Monday to better understand upcoming plans and timing, and to ensure alignment moving forward.
We want to recognize the commitment from our mushers and volunteers. A tremendous amount of time, effort, and personal resources have gone into building and maintaining these trails this season. That investment reflects a shared belief in what this community has built together.
Our focus remains on keeping the trail system as safe, consistent, and accessible as possible for as long as conditions allow. We will continue to provide updates as information becomes available. Please monitor our page and website for the latest trail status.
🛑TRAILS CLOSED🛑
The ball fields are actively being cleared. Mushing trails are supposed to remain intact and repaired where disrupted. Will post update when the trails are open.

It looks like the leprechauns have been up to their usual tricks on the ASDRA trail system. Over the past couple of days they quietly dropped 8 to 12 inches of fresh snow across the trails.
After a long cold winter we know some folks are secretly hoping spring is right around the corner. The good news is this snow should help extend the season and give us those classic warm sunny mushing days during breakup.
Tonight we went out and groomed the following trails:
• 1/4 Mile
• 1/2 Mile
• 1 Mile
• 3 Mile
• 6 Mile
• 8 Mile
So if you head out on the trails in search of a pot of gold, keep an eye out for nuggets along the way. Just remember that on mushing trails not every nugget is real gold. Some are what we politely call fool’s gold.
Either way the trails are looking great. The leprechauns may play tricks, but they left us some pretty nice trails.
Good luck out there. 🍀
