This time of year often brings cookie decorating, so here's another sweet option to try! 🎄Love yourself enough to make choices that bring you closer to your goals, but also enjoy the journey by keeping it realistic & achievable!

👉Need a suggestion for keeping most or all sugar out due to specific health reasons? Comment below! 🙋‍♀️

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 375 F (may want to try 350 depending on some ovens)
2. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.
3. Combine almond flour, baking soda, salt in medium bowl. Mix well. Set aside.
4. Beat oil and maple syrup (or honey) in large mixer bowl until creaming, approximately 4 minutes.
5. Add egg, egg whites, and extract. Beat additional 2 minutes.
6. Add almond flour mixture to egg mixture; mix until blended.
7. Add chocolate chips; mix until just blended.
8. Drop by rounded Tbsp onto prepared baking sheets. Flatten cookies with a spatula if desired.
9. Bake 14-16 minutes, or until golden brown.
10. Store in airtight container.

Brenda has been a dedicated Atlas athlete since January 2021.

Her initial focus was to alleviate the pain and be able to do daily activities without limitations. She wanted to learn how to exercise, get stronger without re-injury and weight loss would be a “bonus”. Happy to report Brenda’s eliminated all pain, progressed in several exercises, and has lost unwanted weight—Yay!

I must say, Brenda, your dedication in attitude and action is inspirational!

Being a mother, wife, and full-time entrepreneur with big projects to manage, you could have found reasons to give up and not choose you. Yet, you’ve invested in you so that you can fuel your dreams which includes spending quality time with your best friend & husband, other family members and soak up the sun during boating season, without limitation.

Congratulations on your achievements and thank you, Brenda, for allowing ATLAS Strength & Wellness to be a part of your journey. We are proud to be working with you and look forward to what comes next for you!

Chris Baardsen has been a dedicated Atlas athlete since February 2022.

Do you want to learn from someone who didn’t let his debilitating injuries stop him from moving forward? Follow Chris’ story “Building Back from Broken.” Chris used to train 4 hours a day, 7 days a week but after an injury found himself not being able to walk, sit, or bend.

As someone who went from training hard as a martial artist (and running & operating a martial arts gym) to “crawl[ing] into work,” Chris openly speaks to all athletes who may be going through the mental struggle of physical challenges:

"I know my perspective of training is much different than many, but I share it with you so you can understand what 16 months of NO TRAINING really meant to me. Initially it meant the path had stopped. All goals needed to change to deal with the fact that I physically could not train. If I wanted the path to keep going, I would have to radically change how I train and learn how to keep my progression going given the limitations.

I wanted to share a part of my story because I know what it is like to be broken and watch everyone else train and keep progressing. Injuries are more than just physical pain, but there is an emotional toll that it can have on a person. I want to share my emotional struggles with you all. I want others who end up injured like me to better understand that it’s normal to be upset and lost, because that’s how I felt as I searched for options.”

We’re thrilled to report Chris’ story has a very happy next chapter…

Congratulations, Chris, on meeting your goal to compete again while remaining pain-free! Not only that, but congrats on competing at IBJJF on October 8th and taking 2nd place, winning the first match!

Who likes Reese’s? 🧡🤎Get your indulgence in a health way this season! I'm truly FALLING for this peanut butter recipe! 🍂😋🍁

Tips:
-Keep refrigerated after making & store in airtight container
-You can use sugar-free chocolate chips for less sugar (look in natural section of store)
-Choose an organic chocolate source if/when possible.
-Using our vanilla protein powder will up⬆️ the fiber

...and you know what they say..."fiber is a superhero".

Adults should be consuming at least 25 grams of fiber daily! Fiber absorbs fat and toxins and removes them from the body through elimination. The "bulk" of fiber also help you feel full longer.

Fitting in fiber whenever you can is a powerful "secret weapon."

Arlie Allen has been a dedicated Atlas athlete since September 2021.

Perseverance and strength of heart describes you. Your determination to work through and correct your functional limitations from past injuries is inspiring. Despite the setbacks you still smile, laugh, and push forward. We always love seeing you walk through the door (and having the 80’s music ready).

Arlie’s focus was to alleviate the pain, weakness, and stiffness he was experiencing in his hips and legs. Having given up running and golf for years, he was still determined to find a solution and stay active.

After being dedicated to the home workouts and stretching he was able to coach softball with less discomfort, help a friend cut down several trees, and even swing the golf club.

Congratulations on the achievements you’ve made and thank you, Arlie, for allowing ATLAS Strength & Wellness to be a part of your journey. We are proud to be working with you and look forward to what comes next for you and your fitness goals.

All you've been through and still always smiling when walking through our doors for coaching. Yours is a story of overcoming - days of feeling like just surviving - to a place of thriving in the Santa Monica mountains with your husband!

Debbie’s initial focus was to alleviate pain, improve energy and gain a renewed sense of hope for regular exercise and travel like she used to be able to enjoy. After successfully meeting these goals, it was time to dream again, so she booked her new adventure!

Rachel Aumann has been a dedicated Atlas athlete since January 2021.

In the last year and a half Rachel has overcome challenge upon challenge. She continually demonstrates the strength and perseverance of a true athlete. While working long hours in a management position, she still always commits to her training, practice and doing whatever it takes to be ready for game-time.

Rachel’s initial focus was to alleviate pain from past injuries and still play volleyball recreationally. After successfully meeting this goal, she set the bar higher for herself (and we think she did a darn good job!).
