Today, amidst the time spent on the water, with family and friends, in front of a grill, or on a boat casting to your favorite fish, we acknowledge the brave men and women that have sacrificed for their country and shall never be forgotten.
While we were able to thank some of our local veterans for their service with time on the water this Memorial Day holiday, we understand that freedom isn’t free and we encourage you to take the time to remember those who have laid down their lives.
“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter the words, but to live by them.”
John F. Kennedy

Fly Tying Clinic - The March Brown (Intermediate)
The common name March Brown is a well-known mayfly that hatches on both sides of the country, and across the pond in the UK. The English version hatches in the month of March, hence the name. Although they are distinctly different species, they look similar and we embrace them as one of the most fun hatches to match. On the Delaware, they're a big size #10!
If you're attending our hosted Delaware trip in early May, you should absolutely come learn to fill your box so you don't run out on the trip.
Tying seminars run 2 hours. Bring your vise, tying tools, and thread, and tie along with us. Learn tips, tricks, and special techniques for creating amazing flies that will help you catch more fish. Our Saturday Seminars cover a range of topics - from regional and seasonal fly patterns, fishing clinics, casting instruction, destination and hosted travel, local guided trips, and information for fishing for everything from local to exotic species.
Space is limited, so arrive early and have fun.

BREAKING NEWS - NEW POTOMAC POLLUTION ALERT!
Due to peak cherry blossoms coinciding with spring break this year, there is a huge pollution event currently happening from Fletcher’s to Georgetown as the entire cast of The Jersey Shore has fallen into the river.
Currently there is a 1.25 mile slick of bronzer and Hawaiian Tropic tanning lotion working its way south to Georgetown. The cast members are safe and sound, since Queen Helene hair gel and silicone implants increase buoyancy and kept them safe until Harbor Patrol arrived.
Local anglers and residents are expressing mixed emotions, as the normal green stains on their boats and docks is now more of a burnt sienna, but instead of the smells associated with the 243.5 million gallon raw sewage spill 2 months ago the river is more pleasant.
According to DJ Pauly D, he doesn’t know what brand of energy drink comes in the Jojoba flavor, but the river smells LIT! - “Just like Snooki on Friday nights.”
The entire Potomac Riverkeeper Network was unavailable for comment. Rumor has it they were seen fist pumping and doing body shots at Nick’s Riverside Grill.
We will update more as the situation unfolds.
