Last but not least! Senior Gabby Fays is a recent graduate of Johns Creek High School. She is a women’s team captain and has rowed with AJ for the past six years! Gabby plans to study international business in the MBA program at Rollins College, and row with 🚣 Gabby says, “the most important thing I have learned from my time at Atlanta Juniors is that discipline, trust, and resilience can carry a team farther than anything else. AJRA is filled with athletes who rely on one another, push each other beyond their limits, and create an environment where everyone is challenged to become the best version of themselves.“ 🥲 Congratulations, Gabby!

Men’s team captain Mason Mims is a recent graduate of Pope High School! He has rowed with AJ for the past 4 years, and plans to head to Kennesaw State University this fall to study biology. Mason says he will miss the strong friendships he’s built from the team, both through time spent together at practice, and the moments shared outside of rowing. He describes learning how to lead others while understanding what it means to be a supportive and active member of different communities as the most important lesson he’s learned from the team. Thank you, Mason! 🎓🎉

Carter Whitley is a recent graduate of Pope High School, and heading to University of North Carolina this fall! He has been on the team for the past five years. Carter’s favorite AJ memory is winning the men’s 8+ at Southeast Regionals a few weeks ago, the first time in club HISTORY! 🏆👊 Congratulations, Carter!

The one and only! Jane McBath is a recent graduate of the Woodward Academy, and has rowed with AJ for the past two years. She plans to study physiology at Rollins College and row for ! Jane couldn’t pick just one favorite memory, and says racing at Head of the Charles and winning Southeast Regionals in the 2V8+ are her fondest memories 🏆 She says, “I love all the people that make the club what it is. I love all of the girls that I go through everyday with, and of course, the coaches.” We love you too, Jane! 🩵

Kevin Prakash has been on the team for six years, and recently graduated from Wheeler High School! He is going to Purdue University this fall, and planning on studying mechanical engineering and “becoming an intramural demon.” Kavin has spent 4 years sitting in bow seat, and says his favorite AJ memory was going to nationals in the U17 8+. He says, “the people who were part of that nationals group and all the experiences I had during training and the week of nationals made the entire thing something I’ll never forget.” Good luck, Kavin! 🎓👏

🎉 Peyton Jacobs graduated from Johns Creek High School, and is headed to University of Oklahoma this fall - boomer sooner! She has been on the AJ women’s team for four years. Peyton spent the majority of her time on the team as a coxswain, but switched to rowing for her senior year! She leaves the club with a top-5️⃣ finish at Youth Nationals coxing the 2V8+, and as a SE regional medalist rowing in the 3V8+ 🥈Congratulations, Peyton!

Shouting out Ellis! Ellis Hobba is a recent graduate of Sequoyah High School, and has rowed with AJ for two years. He plans to start his own business next year. Ellis says he will miss the people and atmosphere at AJ the most, which is why he joined the team 🥲 Good luck next year, Ellis! 🎉
