This week, at Colton Ballet School’s Creating a Ballet Camp, young dancers explored the art of choreography- building original movement phrases on their own and shaping them into a beautiful short work that they performed for their loved ones.
These dancers left more confident in improvisation, performing, and the magic of making something entirely their own! Led by Colton Ballet Company Artistic Director, Caitlin Phibbs.

Colton Ballet School’s Primary Division begins at age 4, introducing young dancers to music and movement through creative play, motor development, and exploration.
Our pre-ballet program builds on this foundation, teaching classroom structure, proper etiquette, and the basics of classical ballet, including steps, terminology, and theory.
It’s so fun to see how much these students learn and grow in the course of a school year!
