Introducing our SEU Rugby coaching staff for the 2026-2027 Season!

Preston Reine returns as head coach, bringing over 15 years of rugby experience back to the Hilltop. A graduate of the class of 2012, Reine helped the 2010-11 side qualify for nationals, and is still an active player at Austin Huns RFC. Reine has served as SEURFC head coach for the past 4 seasons, and brings a wealth of experience both off and on the pitch.



Nairod Woods returns as assistant/forwards coach, bringing almost two decades of experience back to the club. Woods was another member of the famous 2010-11 nationals side, and is now a coach at Austin Huns RFC. With rugby experience spanning several different countries and continents, playing rugby all over the world, Woods brings technical scrummaging expertise and forward coaching experience.

Brenden Hurley returns as one of the newer members of the coaching staff, joining in 2025 as assistant men’s coach and then leading the historic 2026 7s side to national tournament appearance at the 2026 CRCs. A national championship winning 7s player with UNC Wilmington, Hurley competes as a starter for Austin Huns RFC, and brings set piece technical knowledge, offensive minded playcalling, and winning mentality to the club this season.

SEURFC is BACK for another season. Your reigning Lonestar Conference 15s and 7s champions will return to the field this fall — now introducing the club officers that will help lead SEURFC to another great season!
