We are always happy to welcome new clients, but hearing that an equine veterinarian recommended Patchwork Saddlery means a great deal to us.
Veterinarians are an important part of the team surrounding our horses. When a vet recognizes that saddle fit may be contributing to discomfort, performance changes, or difficulty under saddle—and trusts us to be part of that conversation—we consider that a tremendous compliment.
Our approach to saddle fitting has always been horse first. We look at the horse, the rider, the saddle, and the entire picture—not simply whether a saddle is the “right size.” Sometimes the solution is an adjustment to an existing saddle, a change in balance or padding, or a different saddle altogether. And sometimes what we see tells us that the horse needs further evaluation before saddle fitting should continue.
We value the opportunity to work alongside veterinarians, bodyworkers, trainers, farriers, and other equine professionals to help horses and riders find comfortable, workable solutions.
