MSHS goodness. Those guys at MIR work their butts off to give you a stellar surface.

Thurs rained out. Friday 7am rain and higher temps. Ran 8.37@158MPH. Saturday would have been rained out at a less motivated track but the surface was great. Ran 8.25@159MPH. 15 MPH headwind.

Both runs my throttle hung up on my new scoop and I smoked the the brakes trying to stop at 50% throttle. Had to shut down electric and fuel to safely stop. Need to do some clearancing and more aero work on scoop.

Nice burnout but too much power for track conditions

Nice first outing at Bristol. DA was good and actually too good for 1500' elevation. I made two passes on a TNT day and spun both times. I thought I could get away with full timing but it was too much. The track had pretty thin rubber. It was nice talking to the track prep guy Jimmy who came from SGMP.

Good car count and learned the ropes. Also found a throttle linkage clearance issue with the new scoop which I fixed with the help of my primary care doctor and his son who came out to watch me run.

Brought her home from the Garage Shop in North Carolina. They fabricated an aluminum scoop for me and pulled my transmission so Advanced Racing Transmissions could rebuild it better than before.

Ran the valves and used the LSM valve lash adjuster for the first time. Pretty nice Also changed the oil, which looked pretty good.

Going to Moparty in Bowling Green KY in a few weeks to race then Maryland International Raceway for Modern Street Hemi Shootout in October. I'm pretty sure I'll beat my old PB of 8.21@161MPH🤞

Pulled TH400 to fix a small leak after 20 passes on new transmission and Brian at Advanced Racing Transmissions found the leak and a bent stock main shaft, stockish clutches, which were already worn through and damaged bushings resulting in a ton of metal in the pan.

New clutches, a 300M main shaft and some new bushings and she should be good as new. Might even free up some horsepower.
