What a glorious 3 days of baseball, comradierie and fun at the 7th Annual TNT Fall Draft classic.

Here is a quick summary of the weekends events:

Friday: The day began with 2 games, Team Benson defeated Team Baez 3 to 1. Brian Bartlett, a rookie to TNT, pitched a complete game and struck out 14. The other morning game saw Team Lyons shutout Team Crash 4 to 0. The mid-day bill slotted Team Baez against Team Crash. Team Baez won a wild one, 11 to 10. The second mid-day game featured 2 pitching gems. Bruce Fischer for Team Hayes, pitched 6 innings in a loss to Team Lyons. Final score 4 to 2. The nighcap saw Team Hayes defeat Team Benson 5 to 2.

Friday night also featured the 3rd Annual TNT Home Run Derby. 16 participants entered. In a close battle Joseph Christiana defeated Chris Yager 22 to 17 to take hoem the Belt

Saturday: The morning slate featured Team Hayes defeating Team Baez 12 to 2 with Ross Castaldo throwing a 6 inning complete game.Team Benson defeated Team Crash 8 to 0 in the second morning game.The midday games games featured 1 surprise and 1 expected outcome. Team Benson defeated Team Baez 10 to 3 at Beaverr Valley. The surprise in the game played at Doubleday Field, Bruce Fischer, the starter for Team Hayes, pitched a 7 inning complete game shutout of Team Crash, score 5 to 0. The night cap was a close affair with Team Lyons defating Team Benson 7 to 4.

Sunday was Playoff Day. In the Mug Bowl Team Baex defeated Team Crash in a tightly contested game, 2 to 0. The Semi Final Game pitted Team Hayes, who had given up the least amount of runs in the tournament, against Team Benson. This game was a nail biter all the way. Tam Hayes scored in the top of the first to take a 1 to 0 lead. Team Benson then strung together 3 doubles in the 4th inning to take a 2 to 1 lead. Matt Wanko for Team Hayes pitched lights out the reat of the way. Team Benson Tthrew Kirk Johnson. Johnson had Team Hayes batters off balance all game. Team Hayes loaded the bases in the bottome of the 7th inning but could not push across the tying run.

Thje Championship Game pitten Team Lyons (4-0) against Team Beanson (4-1). This was a back and forth affair but Team Benson could never take the lead, In the end it took 4 Team Lyons pitchers to secure the championship, 11 to 8.

Congratulations to Team Lyons on thier 2nd championship in 3 years.
