Cassie Mitchell is accomplishing impressive feats on the court as a member of the Boccia United States national team and off the court as an associate professor of biomedical engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). Dr. Mitchell's motto of "never, never, never give up" resonates with her students and teammates alike and serves as a reminder to keep going in every aspect of her life. Boccia United States wrapped up our time in Montreal against two tough teams from Brazil and Japan. We've had a great time at the Montreal 2026 World Boccia Cup and are looking forward to playing on home soil next month when the Birmingham 2026 World Boccia Challenger is hosted at Lakeshore Foundation!
