Dear BCB community,
Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our June 27 bout.
As many of you know, we have been working hard to find an opponent for that date. Despite our efforts, we have not been able to secure a team to play. Given that challenge, along with the financial realities of hosting an event at the expense O'Connor field house without a confirmed opponent, the Board has determined that moving forward with the bout would not be financially responsible for the league.
We know this is disappointing. We share that disappointment. However, our priority is ensuring the long-term health and stability of our league so that we can continue skating, competing, and growing together.
While the bout is canceled, we will let you know other opportunities for our skaters to get game experience. As we learn of guest-skating opportunities with other leagues, we will share those opportunities with the team.
