One of the biggest misconceptions we hear is:

👉 "I need to get in shape before I try CrossFit."

But that's like saying:
🏥 "I need to get healthy before I go to the hospital."
🚿 "I need to get clean before I take a shower."

CrossFit isn't a reward for being fit—it's a tool to help you become fit.

Every athlete in our gym started somewhere. Some came in with years of training experience, while others were stepping into a gym for the very first time. The beauty of CrossFit is that workouts can be scaled to meet you exactly where you are today.

You don't need to be stronger, faster, or more athletic before you walk through the door. You just need the willingness to start.

The hardest part isn't the workout—it's convincing yourself you're ready. And the truth is, you already are.

Stop waiting to get in shape. Come get in shape with us. 💪

Progress isn't built in comfort—it's forged in the moments when you choose one more rep, one more round, and one more chance to prove to yourself what you're capable of. Show up. Work hard. Trust the process. The results will follow. 💪🔥

A few reminders that we all need from time to time 🤝

06/06/2026

The strongest athletes aren't the ones who never struggle—they're the ones who keep showing up. Every rep, every drop of sweat, and every challenge is building the version of you that you're working toward. Trust the process, stay consistent, and remember: progress is earned one workout at a time. 💪🔥

RX isn’t always the goal…stimulus is 👀

Every workout you see on the board is designed with a specific purpose. That purpose is the stimulus. How the workout is supposed to feel and what it’s meant to train.

It could be:
✅ Fast and aggressive
✅ Long and steady
✅ Heavy and controlled
✅ Or controlled and skill based

When you match the stimulus, you get the intended training effect.

But when you don’t…
A fast workout becomes a grind
A conditioning piece turns into a strength session,
And you spend more time stopping than moving

Going RX is great when it fits the goal.
But forcing it at the expense of of pacing, intensity, or movement quality? That’s not better training. It’s just harder.

Scaling isn’t doing less.
It’s choosing the right version so you can stay consistent, move well, and actually get better.

That’s why we always encourage you to talk to a coach before class.
A quick conversation about weights, movements, and strategy can completely change your workout and results.

Train with purpose. Hit the stimulus. Trust the process. 🤙

At Arbor, scaling a workout is not just a modification for beginners…it’s how everyone trains intelligently.

Every workout is written with a stimulus in mind, not a flex. The goal isn’t to “survive RX”… it’s how to move well, train consistently, and keep showing up.

Our coaches would rather see
✅ Clean reps
✅ Smart intensity
✅ Long term progress

…than ego lifting that leads to frustration, plateaus, or injury.

Train smart. Train for the long game. That’s how real progress is built.

Memorial Day Murph 🇺🇸

Yesterday, we honored the fallen the best way we know how — together. Through every mile, every pull-up, every push-up, every squat, and every step alongside our community, we remembered the sacrifice behind this workout.

Grateful for a gym full of people willing to show up, work hard, and carry on the spirit of Murph year after year. ❤️🤍💙

“Freedom is not free.”
